Indeed, a quick order of magnitude calculation shows an S9 would expect to take over 100 months at current diff... Of course you could get lucky and hit it as soon as you try, or it might go past 500% of expected. Just keep your miners pointed here - best pool out there and only slightly crazy members!

Indeed, a quick order of magnitude calculation shows an S9 would expect to take over 100 months at current diff... Of course you could get lucky and hit it as soon as you try, or it might go past 500% of expected. at zero power cost and at flat diff if you mine 1 year with an s-9 you should not hit a solo block if you mine 1 year with an s-9 at a pool you should get about 1.2 coins if you mine 10 years with an s-9 you should get 1 solo block say 12.5 coins if you mine 10 years with a pool you should get about 12.5 coins So with normal luck and flat diff a 10 year wait for a block would be normal but a cold streak like the pool is in over 500% and you would be longer then 50 years to hit a block. of course you could hit a solo block in under 1 minute of mining with a s-9 if you are super lucky. my suggestion to you is mine 2 s-9's one always here one here six days a week and 1 day solo which means 13/14 days on a pool and 1 of 14 solo

kano has admitted to holding 16 btc in dust and that would also mean 16 bcc current prices are higher then 68,000 Kano has always promised one day he would pay the dust. I believe Kano is telling the truth. But I certainly see greyworld's point of view and if I recall kano has more the .3 btc of greyworld's btc due to kano's choice to allow him to mine with no payout address. all this has been discussed in the thread . Including me telling kano that if coins keep going up up up dust will be a bigger and bigger issue. Kano is a stubborn person fact not an insult. In most cases it is good for him to be stubborn but in the case of greyworld I feel he is wrong and tried to mediate a bit. Kano said no and as I have said before it is his pool and his rules. I still believe he had a lack of clarity in greyworld's case and I would award greyworld his coins if I were kano. As for the dust it grows in value. and as for the bcc kano said he won't support it. he did not say he would not take if for his self. You all need to under stand Kano may have the 16 coins of dust sitting and never touched it. He has never said he spent it he has never said he stores it. If he spent it paying it back will be hard to do if coins go to 10,000 If he always held it he did us all a favor as prices went up. Since he said he will not support BCC if he held the 16 BTC in dust and kept the 16 BCC. It is about 4800 usd.

Oh I know all about it, but stealing this isn't and SHOULD NOT be in a sig by some dufus who is so stupid as to not read the directions and mine without a payout set. DUH!

I can understand some people want to be hobby miners. Let me just say there is nothing wrong with that. But. These machines eat up a lot of electricity. At least use a miner that can turn a profit. If all he can mine with is a underpowered s7. It may be time to call it quits on the mining business. Who knows. Maybe he lives in a cold place and is trying to contribute to global warming.

nope kano is wrong about that. and that is .3 x 4300 = 1300 usd imo he should pay that out and put the extra line I offered for him to put to prevent it from happening again. I actually have considered giving him a negative trust for that .3 btc. but it would start a freaking war and pit lots of people against one another so I left it alone hoping kano would see the light of that case and pay the guy on his own. as for dust or bcc I don't think he is wrong but I would love to see the 16 btc in held dust at an address. for the record here are all my dust blocks as far as I can tell. block 416027 ............. 0.00001262 415964 ............. 0.00001249 348276 ............. 0.00008468 335434 ............. 0.00001478 335425 ............. 0.00001470 335319 ............. 0.00002175 335280 ............. 0.00002575 335230 ............. 0.00003078 335225 ............. 0.00003134 335151 ............. 0.00004328 334947 ............. 0.00001772 334106 ............. 0.00003302 333024 ............. 0.00000015 332947 ............. 0.00000015 331660 ............. 0.00002294 Total = 0.00036615 about $ 1.57 usd at 4300 a coin not much money at 4300 a coin even if you toss in the bcc it goes to $1.62 usd

I figured that out as much I just did not bother to correct it. As I said I am not against you on the dust. For most of us it is not much money. I am also not against you on keeping the 16 bcc the dust created. But on the other hand the 0.30 you did not pay to him (people #2) you are wrong. and you make yourself look bad over it. And I know you for about 5 years and have never said you are wrong on anything at all until that 0.30 btc . I never said you were wrong via pm or email or on the threads you should pay him the 0.30 and change an put the second line in I suggested. The dust I don't care much The BCC from the dust I also don't care at all.

Yes Mr sky will get his BTC that had no address - one day.
However, as I said, there's issues with me doing manual calculations to work out any account that has outstanding BTC, dust or no dust. The point of the accounting code is to ensure it is correct.
I have in the past manually paid people who only had one thing - unpaid amounts. However, even in that case, I have realised there's a possible issue there also due to the fact that you can mine to an address without an account, the same address that can be attached to an account. As I said, the accounting code will work out the correct numbers off the blockchain transactions. Until then, I'm not doing manual payouts for dust or people who didn't have a payout address.
The majority of that ~16 BTC is a few people who didn't put in a payout address, and they haven't asked for their BTC balance. I guess they'll get a surprise when I finally clear the books.
