Anyone heard from Canaan on the Sept. 1 order? Mine still says on hold. Lots of automated emails. One a few days ago that changed the status of one order to "BTC address required", and someone wrote that "user X will be taking care of this, he works from A to B". That was a few days ago. In other words ... over a week later I still can't pay for my orders. At least BTC price recovered and they didn't bill me when it was $3900. But still... M Looks to me like all miner manufacturers have awful ordering systems. Hope KANO mention this when visiting them I have a hunch that they over sold their inventory. Or they have a staff of two and one works part time. Or both. M I was looking at trying to get some in the future but now I am not sure. I can give Bitmain credit, their RMA process might be complicated as all, but they ship before the scheduled data and it ships priority. Sounds like a nightmare to order from Canaan and having a proper system isn't that hard, use Quickbooks or something!

While true, currently you order about 2 months in advance for Bitmain. So you'll _probably_ get your order quicker with Canaan... M

We've got a couple of mining friends in Florida...please, be safe. Take care. Shut it down and get out if you have to. I'll be working remote support for Rubicon for a few days... Peace be with us all.

You may want to unplug your miners when the weather starts getting bad. I wouldn't run them until the power goes out. Could damage the miners with power fluctuations. But that's just me and I know enough about electricity not to put my tongue on my miner's power supply. LOL I'm in the NC mountain and the storm is supposed to hit us on Monday night into Tuesday. I'll probably power down Monday night. Good luck and be careful!! ~wp

Hi fellow Miners!
I have been mining on kano.is since June and I have to say I am very happy to be part of this community! I've been reading this forum on a daily basis as it spread the good vibe and gives a lot of important insights.
Below is maybe bit off the topic, but since there is so many very experienced users maybe someone would be able to help.
I have recently bought Ledger Nano S and sent my BTC into it. I also have a small investment in Dash and LTC, I have transferred them (presumably) as well from the exchange.
Now I can see the BTC and Dash but when opening LTC it shows BTC account instead. I have uninstalled all of them and installed back several times but this doesn't help. Tried to contact manufacturer but the automatic email says I can wait up to few weeks to reply due to the high volume o queries?
Anyone experienced any issue like this?
Regards, Majic
Hey Majic, I just got a couple of these my self. One I purchased in France and it was taking to long to get so I bought one in the U.S with faster shipping so now I got 2 and from what it looks I will be needing both because it can only load like 5 apps max before it's out of space, which really sucks! Concerning your issues not sure how to help you and I can only recommend waiting for the reply from support because the only other thing you could do is restore your wallet using your private key, which I doubt would help. Did your LTC app opened just fine at first, or it has always opened into btc? I myself will be contacting them because the ethereum app just won't load and I've tried to reinstall it several times..... Good luck

If you're in the storm area, I would advise (from long experience) that you power down and unplug your mining gear BEFORE the power actually goes out. I routinely run line conditioners on my miners to avoid the fluctuations that happen on a weak grid (which is what we've got here on the island); you'll experience that fluctuation (which includes low power as well as spikes) which can really freak out a PSU and/or miner, regardless of brand, and take months/years off the life of a relatively expensive rig.
Data centers are quite aware of these issues and plan/implement accordingly.
Be safe.

for 3 blocks i got only 0.003 after 3 days with 26 th that s not good
I would venture to say that none of those block rewards were after you have reached the 5Nd payout peak. Since we haven't found a block in almost 21 hours, your rewards were definitely below the 5Nd peak. I'm running between 58-60 TH/s. about twice what you have. My payouts for the last 3 blocks were: 484095 0.00994972 484011 0.01015123 483998 0.01165753 ~~~~~~~~~~ 0.03175848 BTC So once you reach 5Nd, you should earn about half of what I do. Don't be discouraged. Give it a little more time. New miners here are always sad at first until their hash level stabilizes and they understand how it works. Then for the most part, they are happy miners! I'm sure others can explain it better. Hang in there!! EDIT: I don't know if you've read this, but it may help explain things a little better. Or get you more confused... https://www.kano.is/index.php?k=payout

Let's get this Hurricane Irma Block Party Weekend ROLLING!!! COMEONBLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! And MORE BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!Ya'll be SAFE if you are in the path of the storm! If you are anywhere near the coast, I would suggest you grab your miners and loved ones and get the HELL out of there!!! Now saying it will be a Category 5 when it hits Florida. That's CRAZY STRONG and getting STRONGER!!! Material things can be replaced, you cannot. Please think long and hard about staying in your home if you are in the path! Be CAREFUL, PLEASE!! EDIT: If you are old enough to remember Hurricane Andrew, it FLATTENED Florida and it only went East to West across the state very quickly. This sucker is much more powerful than Andrew, MUCH bigger than Andrew, and it is going to ENGULF the WHOLE state of Florida - South to North. The WHOLE state. Use your head (and keep it!)

I had just purchased a home in New Jersey I could not buy plywood for home improvement as it was being sent to FL due to homes like below. hundreds of square miles of homes looked like this: WOW. It never ceases to amaze me what hurricanes (and tornados) can do to an area. It usually looks like a bomb went off and scattered a quadrillion little pieces of what was once houses, building and the contents in every direction. I don't know how some people are able to survive, just by inches.... such devastation. They are now talking about Lake Okeechobee may break it's levee's and canals. 730 square miles of lake pouring out! Be safe fellow miners! Get out if you are able and there is the smallest chance you'll be hit hard. You don't have anything to prove and everything to loose. Don't F**k around with it!!!

Just had a question I was just poking around looking at my graphs for shift work checking on my miners, and I notice today at 00:47:54 I lost about 1 ths figured I lost connections for a second but then I notice on the pool hash rate the same dip at the same time were the pool lost like 2 PHS. Is that something with the connection to the pool or maybe reboot? Just wondering if my drop in hash rate and the pools was due to the same issue.

Block times seem to betting longer.
I'm not sure as I got a miner at slush too and there have been many blocks the last two days. It varies both here and there, if not there would be no luck Lucky blocks pay more here is my experience... So we get even more excited when block come fast on a row

Sometimes its a connection or reboot issue. Sometimes the graph can look skewed if more than one block is found by the network seconds apart. Those kinds of dips show what it can really take to get everyone here mining on the same page after getting shot with a blank
