One of the exchanges is at it's high right now with 5302.22. Bitmain made me pay with BCC last week for a S9. It was easy to convert, but kind of a waste of time.
Any idea how much value you lost in that exchange? I was thinking about it but bought some 741s instead. I still might if it isn't to much of a stupidtax. I don't think I lost any value. It was no fee for me to exchange, so I basically paid the same price no matter the currency. I feel they are the big losers if BCC stays the same or drops. Yes I wish I could have waited until this price increase to exchange, but by then I would be another month waiting for a S9. If I am naive please someone enlightened me.

I remember when the big saying was 'To the moon!' Are we there yet? As a side note, what are you all planning to do with your bitcoin 'millions'?

As a side note, what are you all planning to do with your bitcoin 'millions'? Amel 55 and 4 or 5 years sailing the world. 500 more pool Blocks and BTC @ $25,000 would fix that up nicely.

I wish I could sell! I’ve sent 1btc to Coinbase to sell it but it has been over 40 min now and there still isn’t a single confirmation! I’ve tried the ViaBtc pools accelerator as well but it says submissions are beyond limit please try again later! Any idea how else I can get this transaction confirmed faster guys? Thanks! If you have an account with on antpool they have one as well

So long, free electricity, wish I had that! Heck at the BTC price, running one s( will probably pay for it's electrical and some in most places.

I've got three S7s in Labrador that are definitely profitable at their support rates (not intended as a commercial...but it's a neat deal). My six S3s on the rack have to wait until management ups my main breaker to 50 amps... Right now I can only run two 741s... I've got an old S2 on the rack as well...what a dinosaur...needs a new PSU. Will probably hang on to it like I did my '56 Chevy...pure nostalgia. (Sold the Chevy a couple of years ago and made a mint on it, though). Mine on...
|
To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Just sold my S7... maybe should have held on to it for a little longer with todays exchange rate. But was able to grab 5 months of expected mining rewards with the sale and figured I better invest in next-gen tech ;-)

I just keep looking at my s3's . They are still on my rack with PSU's all hooked up all ready to go. I could plug them in and they would mine. I'm starting to think that even if it is costing a little to run them it my be worth it. I've been only keeping or buying new equipment with my coins. I may pick a price and turn them on over it and off under it. 6k maybe.

An S3, at today's spot, and according to my historical rewards averages per TH, will generate about USD$28/month.
Better be diligent on doing the math. The only reason I COULD run these (if I had the amps) is my electricity is free.

I'll be doing a restart of the main backend pool in 1 hour at 23:00 UTC This will mean a fail over and immediate fail back for all miners. I'm seeing a lot of miners disconnecting a reconnecting for a while, so this should clean up that.

No, it's not been 7 days, only the last few hours. If you are having trouble keeping your connection to the pool, then it's most likely at your ISP connection. Also, make sure you are connected to yaw closest node.

I took some profits today😀
Ditto! I keep 1-2 BTC loaded into a Coinbase wallet just for this reason Cashed out 1/2 BTC @ $5,500 so fun times! If this rise keeps up through all of next year and assuming some Wondrous Shiny New miner does not come out (nothin realistic on the horizon) by 2019 should have enough BC stashed to pay off the house even after the IRS takes its part of the BTC to $$ exchange....
