My best bud Rev. Mike passed away 2,500 miles from home at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, about 2300UTC last night. The aortic aneurysm just caused too much damage. His wife Gail was at his side, and their Aussie friends. If it wasn't for Michael, I would not be mining. After I lost everything at Mt. Gox and in the crash, he believed in me and my biz plan. It was Mike who put up the relatively small amount for a used S2 back in that day, and we built the mine according to our little plan from there. It worked. When Mike entered my life I was living on a partial VA disability and Social Security. It was a fight making it each month. I'm now accumulating as much in BTC each month as my pensions, and I don't have to worry about minor catastrophes like car problems, etc. RIP, Mikey.

Man, with the almost doubling of the hash rate for the pool I now get .002 less per payment and we haven't seen a decrease in our variance that I can see, yet. Common miners, do whatever you got to do, whatever superstition you got, math, reboots, to get us some blocks

Fellow miners, first I wanted to thank kano and rest of you for running this pool. I have mined since Feb 17 with one S7 just for fun and curiosity. I've learned a lot just by doing so and listening to your discussions in this forum. It made me a believer in bitcoin. The way you run the pool is excellent and you represent the mining community in the best possible way. PPLNS is the way to go and the work you put into stats and transparency creates a lot of trust. Now that I posted for the first time, I probably will leave the mining endeavor. I would love to stay but my power situation is the worst (means: most expensive in US) and the few amps I have are needed to charge my electric car. If you any tips how I should sell my S7, appreciate your reply or PM. mine on

And you thought it could be a quick scam. Then again this could be me just being paranoid, however, your details don't quite add up, and seems like the whole reason you posted this long story full of irrelevant details just to try and "sell" an S7 on the forum because you lurked and saw an opportunity. Also the fact that you just registered yesterday to make one post that you're leaving the pool? Doesn't pass the smell test... sorry you obviously have ulterior motives... Besides, nobody who's a newbie with 0 trust should be trusted to "sell" or "buy" anything from anyone on this site without a trusted forum member or mod to act as escrow... too many scams like the one we just saw about someone PM'ing Kano pool members.

elaborate he thinks the bad luck reflects the price rise. and that kano is skimming off the top. I don't believe that. I think larger pools have figured out how to boost their luck and kano.is pool may not be on an even playing field. If antpool can do asic boost or some kind of variation of it. and kano pool can not do that the playing field is not even and 100% luck is not the norm . at 200ph kano is now up to 200/8500 or 2.35% of the network ant-poo is 1500/8500 = 17.6% of the network if ant pool employs some type of booster and make 105% luck their norm. it hurts kano.is a lot since the hash is huge almost 9x the size of kano. 105 x 9 = 945 100 x 1 = 100 add to 1045 then divide by 10 = 104.5 take kano.is 100/104.5 = 95.693% the luck average for kano drops under 100 we are worse then that. so more likely someone is doing a better boost maybe 10-20% when is the best time to do it now. why ? coins are freaking high and a split is coming. just my two cents. Kano put in 2 coins to help the pool which means something is up. I know kano long enough to know he can figure out why our luck is down. But for now I left . I am a smaller miner and can not afford to mine at a deficit of luck. I lost a lot with btc guild when they were attacked.
