Scammers are ALL OVER THE PLACE here. Most of us, myself included, have been scammed somewhere along the way. Even accounts that look "old" can be suspicious as they can be sold for a price, or possibly even compromised. We have to be suspicious. M For real...I know the mods do their best but it's hard to turn a tidal wave... Stay Classy, San Diego

I have seen first hand that I make more in this pool per THs than any where else. I took me awhile to find Kano. I have since moved everything here. This is the first time I have seen this bad of luck. I noticed that I have spent so much effort into buying miners the last year. Then all at once in the last few months it has got a lot easier to get them. Just saying.

I just wish someone with good technical background could explain what is happening nowadays with Kano.
It seems all the other pools know something Kano doesn't.

Well, we're jaded because some of us have been doing this since Satoshi was a rice kernel in someone's eye...and we've been burned...someone else said it...we have to be suspicious. In that sense, it's no different from gold mining. Anyway...I talked to the Reverend Mikey (what they called him in Australia, I heard from friends in Sydney) in my dreams last night (humor me, OK?) and he said he was going to crack a few blocks for us as he entered the Pearly Gates. Mine on.

I've been doing this since the beginning, and I've been in IT since steel chassis and vacuum tubes. Technically there is no "explanation" that holds; what is left is pure luck, and sometimes it can be as it is...crappy, frustrating, and certainly a positive influence on the bottom line at Maker's Mark... It'll be OK.

We had this bad streak
<cropped some>
279,900 neg Nov1 to dec 31 2016
1,248,000 plus Jan 1 to aug 1 2017
1,560,000 neg Aug 1 to now 2017
So the bigger price per coin really make this a difficult time for the pool
you kind of lost me here. my only concern if that freaking variance did not decrease with the recent 2x pop in hashing, which is odd. TL;DR luck was good for a few months, now it is bad for a few months. Average close to 100%.

Is there anyway to see the current best share across all workers for the shift (across the whole pool)? I know it isn't a useful stat, but it could also be used to show that the workers are doing their best to find a block.

nope they know the same thing kano does which is that this is a matter of luck. and ALL POOLS HAVE bad luck as well as good luck streaks. To any one thinking kano is doing something nefarious or turning a blind eye to other pools doing something dirty to keep us from finding blocks. Just ask your self one important ? HOW WOULD KANO BENEFIT FROM GETTING LESS BLOCKS PER MONTH AND THUS and even smaller amount of income for himself? I'm 100% positive that like anyone else kano would like to see us get as many blocks as we can. More blocks means more btc for him out of his tiny .9% commission.

Do the math on the "tiny 0.9%" commission. 12.5 BTC * 5700 * 0.009. M EDIT: I'm not disagreeing with you... just pointing out tiny isn't so tiny anymore.

Phil, everyone makes decisions about where to mine, when to stay, and when to leave. It's all personal preference. Why do you feel the need to justify your decisions by posting all of the obvious stats? We know what the stats are but some of what you are saying is just pure speculation. Speculation just makes clear water muddy.

What really sucks with this horrible luck is the upcoming 18% difficulty hike in a little over 2 days. M From what I have seen on a couple of different websites is that the diff will DECREASE aprox 2% and not rise 18%. Anything can happen between now and then, but I'm hoping the decrease will be the reality. From Bitcoin Wisdom. Wouldn't stake my life on the accuracy, but it is what it is. Bitcoin Difficulty: 1,196,792,694,099 Estimated Next Difficulty: 1,165,184,333,132 (-2.64%) Adjust time: After 382 Blocks, About 2.7 days Hashrate(?): 8,456,939,156 GH/s Block Generation Time(?): 1 block: 10.1 minutes 3 blocks: 30.3 minutes 6 blocks: 1.0 hours Updated:

I'm also showing a mins between blocks at 8.46 (should be 10). I've also heard Bitcoin Wisdom has been having problems recently. We'll find out soon enough. M

Gotcha. Will take a look. Edit: I see the discrepancy between the hash rate and time between blocks. Hoping they are wrong. LOL

Ya I know it not chump change. and is still a nice chunk of cash commission for each block we hit. But a few paydays per day would be more beneficial to kano then just getting just one every few days like we have been having in this super bad luck streak. I want to see him get a commission real freaking soon and then a bunch more right after to. :-)
