just looked at pool stats - last 5 min Cobramining is pointing about 1 ph to the pool. Are we at the beginning of a big guys' glorious comeback or just a failover?

That hadn't left from what I had noticed over the last few days. I could be wrong though?
Yes their last drop was to about 1PH and staying there since.

Thank you for the block AntLeon!

Hmmmm...we're at 87% Luck and 104% PAPPS. Seems all that doom and gloom by the worry warts was for naught.  Grin

@Kano - thanks for explaining what's involved in reducing 5ND. As usual, things are alway more complicated than they seem on the surface. And as usual, you are always thinking about how to be fair to all. Smiley

We're due for a less than 100% difficulty block. Let's go get it! (Yes, yes, I know. Luck is luck. Past blocks have no influence on future blocks. Like in baseball, it's just an expression of our wishful expectation).

Mine on, boys & girls!

At this moment the expected number is mor like 20 and only 11 found! Which is’t good At ALL!
Wrong, at this moment if we hit a block we'll have 12 and expected would be 13.6  Roll Eyes
Hardly a chicken little panic situation. Wink

You realize that those stats only update when a block is found right? The expected is much higher than 12 right now.
Care to try again? Don't question that which you don't understand, better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. Cheesy
To the rest I say mine on!  Cool

I would advise you to stfu boy!  Cocyнoк! Care to try again if you like it?  I said much higher than 12 and 13.78 is much higher than 12 at the size of this pool ( not for you thought! Haha). So keep your posts to yourself as well as keep calculating the dust from your s5 while dreaming of another 7Th  Cheesy

So if you have x amount of hash and have 100% 5nd and then add more hash, does that hash = 100% 5ND

So if you have x amount of hash and have 100% 5nd and then add more hash, does that hash = 100% 5ND
Your reward is directly based on the number of shares you submitted in the last 5Nd.

The problem is that people want to convert that to a hash rate Smiley Of course.
So I'll make up some numbers to explain that:
Lets say 5Nd is actually 5 days (that's not what it is right now)
Lets say you have 5THs and mine for 1 day then we find a block.
What is your 5Nd hash rate? 1THs ... 1/5
So my 5THs got ripped off? No. It is expected to get rewarded multiple times in the 5Nd from now.
The catch in all this, is understanding what is happening.
It's that each share you submit, is being rewarded over the 5Nd after you submit the share, which is expected to be 5 times (on average)

So how does this answer your question?
Well actually it does, that's also the catch Smiley
Your rewarded 5Nd hash rate will rise, over the 5Nd, from Old, to be Old + New, i.e. during the 5Nd it increases, not jumps up at the start.
Exactly the same as a new miner starting at Old=zero and Old+New=their hash rate.

No, the hash you added needs ramping up time as well. So if you add more hash it will still take you awhile to have them running together at %100, the hash you’ve had previously and the hash you’ve just added.  Wink

Uhhhhh, did you not notice that the number jumped up after we found a block?  Those numbers only update on each block.  Not sure what you aren't getting here.

I know that and that was I was trying to explain to the first guy commenting about it, telling him that it doesn’t update until the block is found,  I said it would be like 20 expected when we hit the next block and then the Vblob said I was wrong and that it would be 13.6 expected, after that I corrected myself self saying that I just realized that it was only 4 days but seemed like forever. After that the Vblob started insulting me with his correct calculations,...  and he was still wrong! It isn’t 13.6 it is 13.78! But close enough!  I just might hire that boy to calculate my profits for me, I’m even willing to pay double of what his s5 dusts out!  Lmao!  Cheesy

this is easily the fairest (and most generous) payment system, as it works both ways!
i had to take my miners offline 5 days ago as i am restructuring and preparing for a new setup, but i sill got rewarded for the past 2 blocks!

Well yes, that’s the way it works.  If it took you to let’s say 10 Days to ramp up your hash rate then you will still be getting payed for the next 10 days even if you shut off your miners completely, for each block found.  It’s just that it will be less and less for each block during those 10 days.  That’s why when we got the rewards for the last block it said pool n average is still like 35ph when it has been less than that for a while now.  So we just paying off the miners that have left a while back.  That’s how I understand it anyway. Smiley. It’s very nice to have a system like that as long as there will be blocks found within those 10 days after you shut off.  Lol Cheesy

So it is the share that gets split into 5 pieces and distributed - not the reward.  That helps.  I am logging the hash rate and shares each minute from the Kano home page as well as individual miner info reported when someone decides to share the api code.  I am pretty sure that is enough to "brute force" calculate the 5nd rate but I am not totally clear when to drop a 1/5th portion of the share since the time changes both for difficulty and total hash rate for the moment.  I am starting to think that I am 'overthinking it' since it may just be as saving the share amount and time, 1/5th to be contributed immediately towards a reward and the rest of that share distributed after all the 1/5th chunks from everyone has exceeded the current difficulty.  Then the next 1/5th starts in and so on till all 5 chunks has been used.  Is that kindof the concept?  If I can figure it out well enough, I am going to try to estimate the 5nd hash rate for the pool and possibly even the reward at this exact moment time based these hash rates and a "guess" of which transactions are included.  Obviously I will never have an accurate reward value but may get close.  Is it accurate that this information is not anywhere on the site or am I missing it?

I got paid less for the last block than I did for the one before!

Sigh. Not sure how. I only lost 1 miner for 1 day, it should take a while for that to impact I thought, especially after we lost another 15PH. Oh well, still worth getting, Smiley

Another thing that kind of irritated me. I looked at the shipping notice from Minerwarez and say the shipping date is scheduled for the 28'th! I thought it had just shipped early Sad Never seen a notice go out a month before the item actually ships.

Not that 7TH is a lot, but I'll take it. Just wish I could get a couple of boards for this S7 I have here. I think it is the boards, it only hashes 135GH.

Prior block was 19.0, last block was 14.7...that will account for a drop in rewards.
