So my payment page shows I got payment for this block, but nothing was sent for the previous block. Yes the previous block was above the dust threshold. (It's possible I didn't have a payout address at the time) what happens to those funds?
If you didn't have a payout address, then the rewards join the dust bunnies, to be sent out after I get time to finish the accounting code.

Llllleeeeeerrrroooyyyy Jjjjjjjeeeeennnnkkkiiinnnnsss!!!!

Thanks for the block, Sidewinder!

LOL, when Blizzard releases the vanilla WoW server, it'd be fun to have a Kano raid guild to run MC, BWL, and all those fun things.

I would join WoW again for that specific reason alone.

I don't remember how long it has been since I've played WoW. I think it was just before Cataclysm.

As the t9 ramps down, the s9 ramps up, you're essentially losing nothing (and gaining a smidge as the s9 is "better").
Yeah it's just your total hash rate at any time that matters.

What happens is that your change in hash rate takes 5Nd.

So if your rate goes down to 0, it takes 5Nd to get to 0 reward from your current, but if your rate goes up, it also takes 5Nd to get to the new rate from your current, which at the moment is just under 7 days.

Gotcha...so I power down a 10.5 th/s machine and power up a 13.5 th/s machine, 3th/s has to start at the begining of the ramp, but 10.5 maintains it's current status.  Diff adjustment not a factor, but only a means for the pool to convert hashrate to share rate?

You got it...the pool will see the worker as the same machine that suddenly got stronger and auto-adjust the diff. Smiley

Just sold 3 Avalon A6 machines. It was nice having these little guys, but it's time to start maximizing my efficiency. Until the 841's come down in price, I have to stick with Shitmain and their fabulous coupons. Hopefully whoever purchased these will keep them on Kano.

Cool...that will give me the opportunity to experiment w/12v battery bank power and dongles...I'll experiment on the t9, it really was a bad investment from the start.  But sometimes knowledge comes w/a price too!

Is there a thread more about the coupons and their use.

It looks like I see conflicting information from what I see folks doing and what I read on the site and elsewhere.

Try Bitmain in hardware but the point is you can only use 1 coupon for purchasing 1 miner. Not for PSU.

Bitmain is selling packages of S9s with the PSU right now.  I was able to use a $420 coupon for that.

ok that's new for them.

Are the hash cards interchangeable on the S9 miners with all of the different machine combinations?

Have 2 machines with some issues with hash boards ...one is a 12.3 ?? and one is a 13 or a 13.5 I think...

I assume the hash boards will interchange but will only hash at the rate they were designed for right?

I'd like to send a couple of boards off for repair.  Anyone know of a good place in the U.S. that will repair them?

Any idea on what they charge for repairs?  If it is to much for repair I'd be buying another new one..

Thoughts?

PS. I did just purchase a brand new s9 Antminer 13.5 on Bitmain for mid-april delivery for $755 (using BTH) which includes delivery.  I did use a coupon for $420 off though.. great deal if you can find the coupons!

No, they are not. I have a stack of S7 boards with the heat sinks off and some with chips that fell off. If they are of any value whatsoever, let me know. I highly, highly doubt it though.

As long as the frequency of blocks being solved increases, I'm fine with the less amount of payment per block.   No problems on that front.

Stoopit high winds in mid-Atlantic again! Angry On again off again mining for us today. Cry

At least my UPS gets 'em back "on again". Cool
Sorry to quote my own post, but I wanted to highlight it in reference to some recent conversation about the effects of downtime, so I put together a simple example since the power/internet keeps cutting out at home and causing me to lose portions of shifts.

First, if you start with your Worker > Shifts page, you'll see a red asterisk in the Rewarded column, which refers to the following quote from the bottom of that webpage: "* The Rewarded value unit is satoshis per 1000diff share"

With this in mind, you can multiply the Rewarded value that's now populated to each of that block's 5Nd rows (0.07201) to whatever value you have in Your Diff column and--as the disclaimer refers to--divide that by 1000.

Example (Legend-->Rewarded * Your Diff / 1000 = Satoshi for that shift):
Average Avalon6 shift-->    0.07201 * 2,750,000 / 1000 = 198.0275 Satoshi
Intermittent outage shift-->0.07201 * 1,000,000 / 1000 = 72.01 Satoshi

Also keep in mind that the last block's 5Nd was almost 200 hours (see N Range on the Account > Rewards page), so at ~50 mins per shift, we could be talking about 160-170 shifts. This is how a bad shift here or there will not be noticed much at all because it's so far outweighed by all the good shifts.

Hope this helps! Mine on with Kano!!!

If it makes you feel any better, I bought (2) T9s at $2008 when you couldn't get S9s.  Just really glad now they had a limit of 2 per batch.  Both have been replaced once by Bitmain.  The first lasted 2 weeks, the second 6 weeks.  The units they sent me back are a slightly different design (they are taller).  I consider both educational expenses.

Mined for a living since 2017.  Dabbled for years before that.
