It's going to be amusing if we'll hit THE bottom in November or December around 70$. He would then be wrong by almost 4 orders of magnitude. I have a feeling we'll hit $120 or so if we stay here. Possibly a dump coming soon. I'd bet against that at this point.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Possibly a dump coming soon. Not a chance. Even the worst news now only crashes the market by 15 usd. We reached a stable level, were building again for the next rise in price and adoptation.

while this is undoubtful a very improbable scenario, it could have been much more feasible if there was not a time estimation so short, 14 months was very short for this to happen, if the estimation was 14 years maybe, one could really hope for it, so the price target isn't incredibly impossible, it is the time needed that suck

if you guys actually read... the OP isn't about $560,000 the number, it's about the sine function (or whatever function he used), and how it is possible for bitcoin price to increase unexpectedly fast.
The numbers are very vague estimates, more used to show the point than anything else.

The only problem is; no one seems to be able to agree what caused the last spike to ATH. China and their BS volumes? Speculative bubble? Willy Bot? Sure BTC can skyrocket exponentially, we've witnessed that, but it appears it was rising to a false valuation.
I also do not understand The equation OP used to reach his conclusion. I'd love to see a crazy spike and even more fun if it appears out of nowhere... I just don't see it happening in any true market driven way any time soon (next couple years)
Lovely prediction though. A kid can dream, eh?

Maybe in the next few years, people will be saying "oh god how I wish I got into this whole bitcoin thing in the early stages when it was only $230 per coin"

this will probably be the case for many people very soon - wait for two things: - solution for the blocksize problem - nearing the next blockhalving

For those who are sure what direction btc will go. Gimme your crystal ball and explain me how to use it Nobody knows what will happen, I myself am not sure that bitcoin will gain much soon. I do not look at the history of the bitcoin value, i look at how well the financial world is doing. The fact that the banks are back in the many millions salary mode for the top employees, does not mean alot of people are going to buy into btc. Its kinda the opposite people hold the money, and fear spending it because of the so called crisis. The only thing i see is the basically bitcoin has become a chinese business, with them having more than 60% in mining power and kinda every miner on the planet is created in china these days. Ofcourse bitcoin could go skyhigh history has proven that, but was this high caused by demand or was it played the large trading markets ( example: mtgox ) If you read the history well you see many claim that some of these exchanges manipulated the market, some chinese markets where so obvious extreme high that you must ask yourself was it real or fake.

Looks almost impossible at this time: June 18, 2015. We don't know what will happen in near future but I don't see any sign for this to accomplish, sorry.

Come on. We're only $559,750 or so away. Where's your sense of perspective?

If you guys are ignoring everything the OP says, then you should ignore the date it was posted too. As far as you guys are concerned, the 14 month starts from today.

I'll be happy if it hits $17000 everything between 1k and 10k should make everyone happy the OP prediction is one of those prediction that clearly could see the light like a collision could ever be turned into reality but i doubt that such price would ever be achieved, maybe not even the fee era could brings it on the table

after every bubble there was a period of stagnation, we have seen this pattern before. Sometimes it takes months to start another rally but it may lasts years

Yeah, or it won't happen because something much better comes along, where not lots and lots of electricity is wasted for "mining", we don't have to wait 5-60 minutes for a "block" and where not a big part of the coins is already distributed, most of them lost in hacks or theft. Just saying, this is also a possibility. Bitcoin is starting to look a little outdated to be honest. I'm still holing though. So far there is nothing better that is working, not yet.
