I can't imagine why someone would make a 5000BTC bet directly with Pirate that he would default. Unless Pirate has already placed the 5000 in escrow, do you really think he'd pay your 5000 if he ran off with another 200k?

@Goat, would you be able to not only sell, but also buy back bonds on weekly basis, at a fixed price? I think 1.00 right after the divs get paid would be a fair rate.
Or maybe, to make it simple, you could just have some 1.00 bid active for all the time being?

i have said before if someone wants to sell i will buy at 1. they just need to let me know how much and give me a reasonable amount of time to get the funds to glbse.
Oh, ok. I missed that part, thanks. Maybe you should put the info in the fist post of this topic.

just noticed the glbse page says the interest rate is 5% - is this new, or is this an error I'd missed?

it is 6.8% until pirate lowers rates.
Wait, I thought you were staying at 6.8% after August 1? (Trust account?)

Wait, I thought you were staying at 6.8% after August 1? (Trust account?) he is as long as 'his' rates stay the same. He should have stated, "it is 6.8% until pirate lowers my rates.

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA

Sorry if you've already answered this, but have you received any other info on whether or not you'll be able to issue more bonds next month?

I'm traveling to Vegas from Thailand for DefCon. If things go well the dividends will be paid out on time.
I sent out some dividends for a different asset and there was an error and GLBSE had to be shut down. Also if there is much of a delay with GLBSE or Pirate or my internet (I'm traveling) there will be a delay. If there is a delay the payments will be made late Wednesday USA time.
So DO NOT PANIC if dividends are delayed.
Thanks
Do panic, do panic please. I'd like to refill some share at half the price

The plan is now Pirate will send directly to GLBSE. If the funds are there at 3am Thailand time I will send out. If not then when I land.
Anyway we knew about Pirates 24 hour send rule and well, I'm on an airplane for 26 hours.
Thanks.
Google tells me it's 12:30am in Thailand right now, so there's a bit of time left before you leave. Has Pirate sent the funds to your GLBSE address yet, or has the payment not been sent or included in a block?

Oh, what? Another payment irregularity for yesterday? When did he pay?
I looked at the block chain yesterday, just wondering whether the payment happened, and ran into strange proceedings. It seems he paid his second-largest target with the re-investments from Bitcoinmax. Check it out yourselves:
19kEo3qmuUdAQb1Q7VZhRwahw5v3NSZCeW is quite obviously Bitcoinmax pay-out. 131YyEEz7wYMMuS6Qk4gMnEs2SgtqJ2GTE was paid in time regularly in the past, but this time, a part of the Bitcoinmax re-investment was sent there several blocks later. Two different block chain analysts said they believe the same thing. 1FmC6gUV1tkT7HHmQzo3NwtgZs3WGSz4Rd would then be the BS&T deposit address of Bitcoinmax.
Overall, yesterday seemed to have a four-phase-payout according to one analysis, but there were holes. If this is another one, it could be five-phase now.

If you were investing in TYGRR.BOND-P, instead of just trolling around, you would have known by now that Goat does not use the regular automatic Monday interest payments, but instead he requests an explicit withdrawal each Tuesday to pay out the dividends. So I'm sorry to tell you that your five-phase theory is just a bunch a crap - at least in this case.

Regardless, the hysteria seems to have pushed the price of TYGRR-P down to 1.02 or lower, which is a hell of a deal for a bond that's going to pay out 0.068BTC in a day.

not really the lowest price trade today was 1.0597. which is still low considering that goat buys the bonds back at 1.0 so just go and take it, unless you think that his plane is going to crash
