I get the confirmation guys, Djm34 will not release his miner.

I don't know why, he don't explain ( And he don't need to explain nothing to me or to any another person)

But he will not release:

"Sorry the miner won't get release"

How are the Public/Open source miners for you Cuda miners?

We over at AMD land managed to get
~30Sol/s with 7970/280x
~30-40Sol/s with 470/480
~30Sol/s with 290/390
~25Sol/s with 270x/370
Fury had very disappointing results.

Wonder how the $600 GPUs are performing?

Best bet for Nvidia users now is to wait for mrb to finish his implementation and hope it's as good as his work on AMD.

Wonder how the $600 GPUs are performing?

It's about time you guys had a fleeting advantage. We've been crushing you for quite a while now, lyra2rev2, lbc, etc (good natured humor)

It's also clear the cards can outperform amd on equihash, but genoil certainly hooked you guys up  -- that open source community is a real plus.

I'm admittedly only having fun with mining, and use a single 1080 for its intended purpose, so I basically got a killer gaming card for (coming up soon) free. I've considered building a rig, but I'd do 1070's if I did. Versatility is worth it. lbc mining alone would have made up for the amd cost advantage.

I put my real money into ES, CL, and ZB futures markets via citadel. It's almost impossible to mine or play with crypto trading when you're accustomed to $100k ES contract nominal amounts, $50K CL. It just feels like tons of time for pennies. But I guess if you scale up and embrace the madness of dealing with hundreds of rigs with eternally failing hardware that you're constantly trying to upgrade and anxiously waiting to break-even on while an endless array of messy new shitcoin releases keep upsetting your world and causing your hair to turn white, then there's probably real $$ in it. And I'm nerdy as fuck so I get the whole tinker/hobbiest angle. It's more like torture, but tech heads can't help doing it anyways, and there are those brief moments of "ahhhh."

Yeah, he definitely sold to a big farm or two.

Anyone else working on a Nvidia miner? Claymore is going AMD only on release, so he's going to fuck us for the first couple months or till whenever his contract with whoever expires. Seems everything is currently AMD except for whatever Nicehash releases...

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

23 sol/s on the 1060 3gb and 32 sol/s on the 1070 but more speed will be added when I have time.

. The biggest problem with the nicehashminer is all the bugs and the crashes. We need ccminer integration for speed and stability..

nicehash cuda miner is already doing 32 sol/s on the 1070.
yes ... and 36 using palit oc capabilities ))

i'm at 33, but with one gpu it's different you can push it higher of course, but consumption is higher also, mine is 95w...92w actually

29 S/s were, a 1080 SC. With 50% TPD and +0 core +0 Mem (Seems like overclock don't matter)

With this miner: https://github.com/feeleep75/nheqminer/releases/

Even if i don't lock on afterburner TPD max to 50, the miner uses only 49%

How much would a big farm pay him?  He could have released it here with a 10-20% fee, everyone would have used it and he would make a shit ton.  Is he worried it will be reverse engineered?

Yeah, here too, if i downclock the S/s decrease, if i overclock increase a little, but a small gain that don't worth in my case 29 S to 29.5 (+480)

Problem is securing a fee based miner so it stays fee based. It's easy to break that.

And some people would even change the dev fee pool/account with their own and redistribute it.

Selling it to one or two big farms is a much better option - from their perspective, obviously. Especially if he also gets a cut from ongoing mining. And if the software doesn't get out to the public that amount can really add up over time. I mean his miner basically turns GPUs into ASICs. And both parties are incentivized not to leak the software.

Crowdsourcing it he maybe could have made a one time profit of I don't know, let's say 50 BTC.

Considering the profitability of his miner, I wouldn't be surprised if some big farms would paid him about the same with some ongoing profit share (few %) to incentivize further optimizations and exclusivity.

Or he might just decided to keep it and build his own massive farm. ROI with his miner is only about 2 weeks with Pascal.

This is all just speculation though.

But why he first claims to release and then let us eat the shit?
Why go public and then make 5 steps and role back...

To answer that question there isn't much math or algo superior knowledge needed.
In my eyes its either 1.) vapor 2.) ätsch bätsch eat my shorts 3.) being retard..and rekt us all 5 times..but with this actions he may doomed his rep and also maybe some pools will watch closely ...who is mining there. given a farm mines there and not on their own pool.

So the game is still..open and nobody knows who/where it ends. We just learned djm rekt'ed us..thanks for this lovely lesson.
And there are others to take his place sooner or later... and by the end of the day..i can look into the mirror of being honest and humble.

Mrb is working on a miner; saw some posts about it on zforum (it might be one already mentioned). eXtremal's Silent Army release claims nvidia support and has a new 0.2.3 but it still crashes on 1080 on win10. Where's Nanashi? If I spoke Japanese I'd ask him. I used to know his info site but just saved the link to the files. It might be worth using google translate to send him a message about upgrading Tromp's/nheqminer, or writing a new one.
