Just as a FYI, Zcash reward buildup is over a month linearly, so mining in the beginning may be next to worthless.

Also Ananatti not sure why you're mining Cryptonight... Lbry and specifically Ethereum (especially with duel mining) is earning more.

This is crypto, everything is possible. As long as people are queuing to buy heavily overprized cloudmining contracts it is really hard to predict what the market price for zec will be.

Cryptonight is an option for amd, not for nvidia. It was just an example of an algo which obviously is hardware limited on 60-70% tdp on nvidia, otherwise someone would have made faster miner at this point. I hope equihash isn't similar.

ZCASH FOR CUDA--

I downloaded the Windows binaries from the NiceHash GitHub repo, they work fine with my 980ti and i7 CPU.  However, after following the trivial steps to build nheqminer on Linux, and making sure to checkout the latest commit, I find that there is no CUDA support in the resulting executable file.  It will mine only on the CPU.

Perhaps I am missing a "make" flag?  I think the build instructions were for the "release" version.  The latest "pre-release" version has the CUDA support for GPUs.  Any help here?  My CUDA cards may be better off on Zcash than ETH.       --scryptr

I think the sources do not include cuda support.
I suspect they can't/don't want to let people modify the cuda code to make the miner faster.

Zcash is paying bounties for open source miners. Perhaps the Tromp solvers are kept closed to prevent others from improving
on his work and claiming the bounty. The competition is now closed so hopefully the source will be opened soon.

THE NICEHASH WINDOWS BINARY IS ON GITHUB--

It can be downloaded at the NiceHash GitHub: https://github.com/nicehash/nheqminer/releases .  The Windows miner should work just fine on Win 8.1 x64.  And, the latest CryptMining-Blog post lists several other miners.

Right now, the miner's profitability is fluctuating between 25% to 300% of the profitablity of my CryptoNight miners.  The Win 7 x64 box has a 980ti and an i7 2600 CPU, and was providing about 1/3 of the hash of my CryptoNight miners.  The CryptoNight miners are all on Linux boxes, and consist of one 750ti rig and all of my Linux CPUs.  Basically, I had anything too small to mine Ethereum (ETH) mining CryptoNight before yesterday afternoon.

All of my payouts will be in BitCoin (BTC), however.  The NiceHash miner is hardcoded for NiceHash only.  Some may want to hold actual Zcash until it spikes.        --scryptr

You can mine zec at zcash.nicehash.com.

Use nheqminer_zcash and your zec addy as username.

My nvidia + i5 rig got a nice boost from 3a.

@SP
Did you decide if you release the private miner for sale...

Not now, my work is under development. I will harvest Smiley

Good luck harvesting when AWS mines faster than GPUs...
