Nicehash has a new miner out as well advertising 125sol on 1070, but it's locked to Nicehash so pretty much worthless.

https://forum.z.cash/t/eqm-gtx-1070-125-sol-s/8574

Yes worthless. No profit in zcash anymore. We need a miner that does 150sol/s or more on the gtx 1070.

480 from amd can do 170, nvidia was said to be better on zcash, better potential so 200 is possible imho, with 200 it would be on par with etheruem or a bit higher
Claimore`s v7 is about 230H/s on stock 390X.

he said he can push it to 300, so i see no reason why a 1070 can not reach nearly 200h/s, with 200 sol/s nvidia would be good again on zcash

120..125
even with 150 s/s it will not be profitable...

I think I can merge this changes into my mod and do 150. I will do it when I have time...

No need to hurry. I let them finish their work, and then add I will add 10% as usual..

Quoted post was from 4 days ago. There was a 108sol miner from five days ago. Net hash and price was quite a bit different. It's all basically been worthless since Claymore v3 though.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

We have gone from 108sol/s to 140sol/s in 4 days. many coders are working on this now.
This is good.

Is there an nvidia GPU miner for Zcoin? It's some sort of lyra2 variant.

i remember wolfo saying that it was not worth making one, because the profitablity over the cpu is ridiculous, they are there, so better to just spam aws instances to mine it...

i use this one
https://github.com/krnlx/nheqminer

and also the zawawawa version, also in github

both works very good on linux

SP_ has one very good but only windows Sad

they are not efficient enough to compete with AMD GPUs and big CPUs, if it goes above 180 sols on a 1070 will be back in business i think

That's what I heard a while back but I was curious if that changed by now.

Zcoin just tweaked their version of Lyra2 and are planning to change to MTP. That will be its fourth algo
in its short life.

There is no GPU miner for Zcoin.

I asked for this a month ago a few different times. It uses a weird version of Lyra2 that has increased height. It was a 'temporary' algo, so no one built a miner for it as MTP is going to be the final algo they're using. Just another crock of shit though, basically a whole month worth of mining lost due to people thinking they were going to release the new algo in a week.

I'd still say it's atleast a month or two out. Still worth hacking something together in the meantime... No one does it.

The lyra2 grid is too much bigger than the one in lyra2re and lyra2rev2. A gpu implementation will likely have similar efficiency as cpu, if not worse. Too big of a challenge for an algo which is already planned to be phased out.

Cramming six CPUs into a computer generally doesn't happen. Ethereum PoW was planned to be phased out as well and will be... yet people built miners and better miners for it. It's already been a month and they don't seem any closer to adding the new algo besides mentioning they reached a 'development hurdle' whatever that means.
