Is this a take-over?

No, this thread is being spammed by a competitor coin dev of CCN (Cannacoin) using a script.  The communities of CANN (CannabisCoin) MARYJ (MaryjaneCoin) POT (Potcoin) THC (hempcoin) DOPE (dopecoin), etc are just expressing their hatred for wasteful nonsense that should just be ignored or dropped so forward progression of Marijuana related coins can happen.

They're still alive and kicking, I believe they're doing a lot of work behind the scenes. While operating under the radar is a decent plan longterm, it's not the most exciting route to take. Especially since a lot of the bag holders are traders, and well...you can't trade something that never fluctuates

With that being said, I have faith that a community take over is not needed, and that D9 is much better suited to lead CANN than a conglomerate of users.

Hopefully they have something planned this 4-20

Lately there have been a few instances where people have come into the IRC channel alarmed over reports ∆9 "is leaving", "has left", etc., etc.. Now a couple of "is it a take over?" posts in a matter of days.

Relax people, it's just mischief-making by a couple of malicious individuals.

We'll try to get the promotion kit ready so anyone wanting more action can join in and actively promote CannabisCoin's use in the real world. My personal preference was for that not to happen until the new wallets have been released but we'll see how that shakes out over the next month or two.

There's something more infectious and far more useful than the twin's malicious rumors. Smiles. Try them with everyone you meet, you'll find them quite contagious

CANN ... if internal management has/owns a large chunk of the total supply ... this is not a big issue ... in fact it is the very point to managing a 'peg'.  I think it is to your advantage to formally post the reserve accounts on the public record

I can give you the general figures:

Of the planned 106 million supply (which we will never reach) about 86.6% is currently in circulation.

Including the mining originally done by team members, including myself, and donations made since, the team have combined assets of ~4.7%.

All told, ~82% of planned supply is in wide distribution.

There is opportunity but no plan at this time to increase general circulation up to the original target of 106 million (at conversion from scrypt). This would require a hard fork and is not planned in the current wallet update.

At present the thinking is that ~92 million is an adequate market supply.

I think many of the coins are on exchanges and looking at the division of coins at Bittrex, I think there are quite a lot of people invested in CANN:

well that is a little scary ... there needs to be a drive to pull coins from the exchanges ... if your not going to sell in the next 15days there's little point and lots of risk using exchanges as storage ... mt cryptsy may or may not be going down
