To D9 and the Cannabiscoin crew...  A suggestion from JohnnyBTCSeed to think about on what to do in the future that might help the project for the long term.

Here is the issue. A farmer, whether thc or corn, normally uses futures contracts/ contract for delivery, in order to hedge their costs. If a farmer is storing all of their money in thc coin and thc coin takes a dive the farmer is screwed. Likewise fertilizer costs go up and down, the farmer has to hedge in order not lose his shirt.

A better idea would be to use bitcoin for a contract for delivery style future maket. Then when this "Candy" strain is in high demand people can trade futures contracts. If you don't want to use bitcoin then you could use nxt.

When you have developed a proper cannabis futures market then you can use that to help determine the fair market price of this commodity. However the current method of needing a separate coin system (ie: potcoin, corncoin, soycoin) is flawed. Maybe someone could create a nxt MS coin called cannabiscoin and tie the issuance to how much crop is produced then destroy them when smoked.

I think using Cannabiscoins itself in hedging the market might be a good idea since 1 coin will always represent 1 gram of Canndy.  Just some of the potential uses to think about...

While I think it's true that the sudden buy rush of June 29-30 had a lot to do with traders "parking" their funds in less volatile assets and who are now moving back to take advantage of BTC's recent increase (likely also driven by the same Greek default fears) I don't agree with the above pessimistic view.

To begin with CANN was trading around the 1900 sat mark and gently rising before the recent buy-in and secondly because it is not true that nothing concrete is looming.

For instance we were told May 30 and subsequent days about the outdoor grow prep and planting - that's a seasonal crop, isn't it? I would suggest that sets the clock on a Fall harvest. We also know that CANN is a major sponsor of the Cultivators' Cup to be held on November 7^th.

Of course I do not know what people define as "coming soon" and I reference my expectations against my original admittedly guesstimated timeline of first crops potentially becoming available for distribution in the first quarter 2016. It does appear however that DeltaNine is likely to beat that estimate significantly.

∆9 said some time ago that development in Colorado, where his family owns substantial landholdings, was due this July and has just announced that is where he is going now, things seem to be on schedule.

Given that we have also been told he's spending a lot of time in Nevada, a state where big things are likely to happen with marijuana, that he has had successful meetings with mj-related business in Denver and was investigating a dispensary partnership in Phoenix we know there are potentially plenty of ex post facto announcements in the pipeline. We were also told that all CannabisCoin announcements would be ex post facto for the foreseeable future.

Then, if you listen to what is casually mentioned, like taste-testing mj tea for example, you can see the potential for CANNdy brand beverages and so on.

The bigger question is, why people are selling at a mere 2K?

Yes, but it's still limited per person, per day as far as i know...  So it is really crucial that the Cannabiscoin crew to acquire more land to plant and grow Canndy.  Which what they are working hard to do btw...

If they pull this one off and break into the billion dollar Cannabis industry, there's a lot more potential for Cannabiscoin itself as a hedging mechanism rather than just being a "coin" backed by a gram of Canndy.  The potential is huge, but there's no sure, straight line in achieving success.  All we can do is give our support for this awesome project.

LOL scared of that bullshit?  fuck him (or whatever he is, ie. bots/team/scams) whatever...his volumes vs. prices dont even make sense have the time for anyone to even 'exit' a coin in time with such crappy volume/buy support on most of his coin picks.  not to mention, CANN is (will be) wayyyy bigger than ryanpumper crap ass group....even he/they cannot manipulate CANN (unless they run crazy bots).  whoever did the first pump to 15k sats last year...that was good action (prob mix of manipulation and real ppl buying/selling since it was hot for awhile), then dumped.  

wow bro 90%   if you've been tracking cann for a long time like others (which is everyone!) you would know buy in at 1000-1500 is a given, even up to 1800 on this coin and anything above 2k is an ok sell for SMALL profit.  most people have prob done the same trade with cann themselves , even half paying attention! LOL.   i know i have and i suck at trading - the real thing with this coin is buy and hold (i mean sure sell some here and there if you want/need, since you'll be up in profit, but a hold on many coins i think is smart).  but i wouldn't be "scared" of anything ryanturdpump has to do with CANN lol.

don't worry yourself over peanut gains they do.  notice they always show entry/exit (if real) and never amt of coin?  meh.  not to mention, they have plenty of other coins to make money off if they want, cann isn't one they'd use.   if you do "follow" his crap, you'll see his calls are all long time holds anyways ( usually weeks/months ) and once in awhile he'll get a good pump call for 3-10 days for money, but you better hope you're in EARLY otherwise you get dumped on.  one can only assume they are making btc, but most of the accounts are shills in there.  even CANN you can play swings but they are small for now and take awhile to fluctuate so no point.
