Just ha-ha-ha-having a laugh at this one. What cannabis does to ewe:

Quote
Stoned sheep go on 'psychotic rampage' after eating cannabis plants dumped in quiet Welsh village

Stoned sheep have allegedly gone on a 'psychotic rampage' and are causing havoc after eating cannabis plants which were dumped in a quiet village.

The remains of an illegal cannabis factory were fly-tipped in the quiet village of Rhydypandy in the Swansea valley in South Wales, and worried locals fear the sheep have been munching the herbs after they exhibited some very odd behaviour.

County councillor Ioan Richard said the sheep have been 'roaming the village' causing havoc and claims they have even been breaking into homes and getting killed by cars while in a daze.

See! Cannabis even makes criminals out of sheep with them "breaking into homes."

Quote
County councillor Ioan Richard said: 'I dread to think what will happen if they eat what could well be cannabis plants - we could have an outbreak out of psychotic sheep rampaging through the village.'

Anyone knowing anything about sheep knows they are more than happy to wander through open doors and that they are somewhat prone to ducking across the line of traffic and getting run over. Neither of these things are indicative of "psychosis" or "rampage".

Ah, the MSM... cannabis mutants and rampaging psychotic sheep in the same news cycle.

Looking for rampaging sheep? Try this. Wink

Eeek! Lookout! Run away! The cannabis mutations will get you!

Quote
Smoking cannabis ALTERS your DNA 'causing mutations that can trigger serious illness, including cancer'

Smoking cannabis can alter a person's DNA, causing mutations that expose a user to serious illnesses, experts have warned.

Furthermore, the heightened risk is not exclusive to the marijuana user, a study has shown.

The disease-causing mutations are passed on to their children, and several future generations, it has emerged.

Though the link between cannabis and severe illnesses, such as cancer, has previously been documented, how this occurs and the implications for future generations was not well understood. ...

Sorry. Couldn't resist a juicy piece of reefer madness like this.

Someone remind me, for how many thousands of years have people been using cannabis? Over all those generations a persistent mutation should have become really well represented throughout the population, constantly expanded and reinforced by newly recruited cannabis "mutants," all "afflicting" subsequent generations. Consider family sizes before birth control, that's a lot of carriers of "cannabis mutation" entering the gene pool, constantly reinforced by more "cannabis victims".

Why, it's a wonder the scientists managed to find an untainted control group! Oh, that's right, they didn't. They simply "analyzed" existing work and guessed at "likely causes".

Have you ever wondered about the number of mortalities required to account for all the risks claimed by "scientists" and their "studies"? How can there be any of us left, let alone an expanding population with an increasing life expectancy? In reality it comes from statistical cadaver recycling where even an elderly man dying basically of plain old age but technically of heart failure - and with metastasized cancers of no particular consequence - is variously attributed as: a tobacco fatality because he had smoked for a period in his life; a victim of Western diets because he ate red meat; a chemical victim due to his exposure to [fill_in_whatever_compound_current_researcher_has_grants_for]; a victim of particulate pollution because he had lived within 500 meters of a main road; and so on and on. It seems no one dies of old age any more but must be a victim of something.

On second thoughts, don't bother running. You and your descendants are certain to die eventually but I strongly doubt that cannabis consumption in any form will be the cause, especially since cannabis has been shown to ameliorate a significant number of conditions.

And the responses finally begin to appear:

Quote
'Cannabis Damages DNA' Claim Debunked By Leading Researcher Ethan Russo

Critics are calling "reefer madness" on a new study from Australia claiming smoking pot will give your kids cancer.

Cannabis has been shown in cell, animal and limited human trials to prevent, halt or kill cancer, researchers note. Australia is getting world-famous for their reefer-madness research, this time for equating pot to the notorious birth defect-causing chemical thalidomide.

^ I notice this as well.  I still baghold CANN and MARYJ for very long.  Both are poorly run into the shitter and I'm very sad about this.

I hope the devs DO something or die.  It's all from bullcrap "weedcoin" hype I think from last year.  They made their BTC and leave.

Yes, sure you have more coins
but what you profit thy worthless coins?
it is obvious that no one more for #CANN
interested.
I had long been a fan of #CANN
sadly that Delta9 and the team
not further pursue her Projeckt.
if it continues as in the past, I can only say

Claims that cannabis alters your DNA are "trivial" ?  My bad, I thought readers might like to be aware of current claims.  After all, "reefer madness" has only maintained cannabis prohibition for seven decades Wink

Sometimes it appears supporters believe the fight is over, full legalization is inevitable and that medical cannabis production is a risk-free enterprise.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

You need to be aware that well-financed groups are trying to undo progress already made and reintroduce prohibition in states now legal.  The Feds are uncooperative, to say the least.  Today's example: U.S. Government Bans Cannabis Farmers From Using Federal Water Supply.  That's not new, just a timely reminder of how much remains to be done.

Here's some more "trivia" for which readers should be prepared:

Quote
Cannabis IS addictive - and smoking it harms the brain permanently

It's long been known people who begin smoking marijuana occasionally can soon become addicted. Now, scientists have discovered why: smoking cannabis long term disrupts certain brain circuits, leading to cravings and dependency. They found the part of the brain associated with reward lit up when people looked at pictures of cannabis or associated items like bongs. These changes mark the difference between occasional users and people who have become dependent, researchers said. ...

On what do they base these startling conclusions, you might ask? I'm glad you did. The bottom line is that long-term daily cannabis users showed greater reward anticipation when shown cues for cannabis than they did for ... [drum roll please] their preferred fruit. I kid you not.

There is no mention in the study of the relative reward/efficacy of cannabis compared with a piece of fruit. Would anyone seek relief after a physically or mentally arduous day with say, a relaxing apple? Perhaps if they had asked non-users to imagine a relaxing massage or a hot bath and a glass of wine they might have derived useful data.

Such obvious flaws will not stop the "reefer madness" crowd touting this study as proof of "marijuana addiction" though.

Hi Saul, thanks for your interest.

To date, all produce from trial crops not destroyed in testing has been donated to patients. In addition to this cooperative dispensaries have donated some of their own inventory during proof of concept testing. The first commercial scale crop will be this northern hemisphere's summer outdoor grow. More general information.
