Me and a friend contacted some people we know in China.
Their Attorney told us that lots of international fraud incidents happens in China and that the government is not happy about it.
And they told us to contact the Chinese Embassy because they are aware of the issue and will be willing to help us.

Of course international fraud with use of bitcoin by one of the world leading producers is something that may interest Chinese officials... there are many possible scenarios. I think we may recover and rack the costs on them.

You really think that you have any chance of recovering funds from this? I think they will laugh when you try to sue a guy named FriedCat who is supposedly kidnapped. I applaud the effort if you really try to get them for scamming, but China is not exactly the easiest place to stop fraud.

I would have to agree that he will not get them sued. I would guess it would cost more than his investment to even try.

Your pessimist subjective views has no importance and doesn't aid the solution.
Its's a plus if China is delicate about it and hopefully has a policy against international fraud.
The legal aspect will be clear after consulting lawyers.

I would have to agree that he will not get them sued. I would guess it would cost more than his investment to even try.

But that's the the basic tenet of cons like this:  Do't pull them on people with power/lawyers/money.  If a few get snared despite reasonable precautions, treat shit symptomatically.  Pay dangerous ones to go away, discreetly.

I understand your concerns. Believe me that there is no incentive or anything I could gain by running a scam like this get compromised and get into trouble. Of course it may be costly and I cannot guarantee the results because not even a lawyer in any case can. If a lawyer guarantees something 100% he's a con because he cannot predict what can happen. I can only say that that there is a high chance of pressing the responsible people effectively  so that they will compensate Amhash customers. I do not know the companies financial standing or whether FC is found and pays back (I am personally almost sure they will never find him) but I believe it will be dofficult to get off the hook.

Look on my arguments:
1. there are many reliable legal services in Shenzhen specializing in commercial law and white collar crime (as today in our case it looks like it). Retaining such services by businesses from overseas has become more common in China.
2. as flame pointed it out CHina's officials approach to international crime has changed as they understand how much the economy is loosing because of it and they do not like it at all.
3. you do not want to be in such troubles as the people from all three companies in China as the law is very harsh. We want to settle and recover our assets not to ruin their lives of course.
4. to do so would be quite easy and costs effective to some stage if legal costs are distributed among large group of people. Unfortunately I am not in a position to let someone else deal with this issue but I am happy for others to join our group and take part in it. We cannot be that transparent for obvious reasons but the more people actively participating in this effort the better.

I know that it will not be easy but I do not think that it is entirely impossible for a group of strangers to hire a legal representation and make a successful claim. Even in China.

At this stage I have not approached any practice directly but I may get a name in a day or two. Altrnatively I can work it out and contact a few of them one by one and ask for background and pricing. I prefer however to use  EU based solicitor who is Chinese.

What are our options, sit down and listen to Puppet's private vendetta against me sidetracking every effort of discussion what to do with Amhash case and its investors lost assets?

What kind of credibility you are asking for? Is it now a new trend to provide credibility in our small circle? FC had quite a lot of it.

Hiring legal assistance is the only option. The larger the group would be the better. It is very simple actually all we need to do is to start looking for the right ones, get pricing for the retainer and let them act. This should be a normal practice that if you are loosing your money you just go to your lawyers and ask to fix the situation. I really do not see anything unusual in it.

If anyone has a better option or an alternative I will be happy to listen to it.

I believe you coz you have a nice nick!!! It seems to be that you have exclusive intel on everyone and everything in bitcoin field, so tell me Do I have enough coin to make a law suit? Guys I am happy to enter any constructive, professional discussion on how to do it in a way that would be acceptable to all Amhash customers willing to take action within this initiative. We have more information than we can disclose here. The problem now is to gather enough people and funding to do this.
I do not know at this stage who could represent us nor how much it would cost as I believe both issues  would have to be discussed within a group and perhaps make some kind of decision thorough voting. We can select a suitable practice and I would suggest using a qualified EU based solicitor who is Chinese to assist us with the choice and be our point of contact. I am sure the whole process can be transparent for the participants so that I am absolutely free from any suspicions of any nefarious activity.

I've lost all my saving with this incident and it's going to effect my everyday life.

So I won't be able to support you guys financially upfront.

You can think of me whatever you want, but Ive been around for longer than most and this isnt exactly the first publicly traded  bitcoin company Ive seen implode, and its not the first where a bunch of shady C-less nonames pretend to organize or coordinate action but mostly just want to make themselves feel important and often want to collect bitcoin. l3sny is to AM as Goat was to Pirate. Anyone remember that?

Ill also give you the bad news, that this has pretty much never worked. Even fully doxed scammers that undoubtedly committed financial crimes, where lawyers got hired and police reportings filed, Alberto Armandi comes to mind, still roam free. The only cases where at least something happened, is when government stepped in.

But if you want to do something, then you need to get in touch with AM board members. Thats your most realistic chance of finding someone who is well positioned to lead an inquiry and possibly coordinate legal or other action,  and who doesnt fail on all the C's I mentioned (credibility, clout, clue, coin. Common sense and Chinese language wouldnt hurt either). Board members interests should also be aligned with the other shareholders, they own too many shares that Id believe them being bought off. Doesnt hurt to keep that possibility in mind though.
