I am new to cryptos and have bitcoin but read about Dutch coins on one of the articles. Last two weeks it looks like guldencoin is about to die as the price is going towards 1 and everyone selling out but EFL price has stood up very well. Will EFL price increase in the future?
the problem is the multipools are sell guldencoin, and thats a couple of millions just wait a couple of months and the price is up It also looks like guldencoin reaches max coins very quickly, less then 15 years which is something I only worked out this morning. What is the predicted time for EFL to reach 21 million coins? Guldencoin: After 40 years there will be a maximum of 1.7 billion Guldencoins in circulation. Statistics: https://distribution.guldencoin.comhttp://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/guldencointhe difficult to mine, going up every day I am new to cryptos and have bitcoin but read about Dutch coins on one of the articles. How many is going to be mined for EFL if premine is 10.5 million, 21 million mined(31.5 million total) or 21 million total and 10.5 million mined?

It's allways difficult to answer questions like these, like where do you calculate in. If it's euro's I will be quite possitive the price will rise but when it comes to bitcoin we need a bigger community then we have now. At this moment in time the dutch have a huge advantage over the rest of the world, as we can buy bitcoins, or eGulden, fairly easy with the use of iDeal. However if you look at the greek situation of today and think about cyprus some years ago, this easy access can fall away aswell and then it will be a lot more difficult to get people to invest in the coin. Therefore i feel the urge to succeed before the other system fails, if we wait for that it will be too late and the satoshiprice will be difficult tot maintain. We need people who talk about our coin with friends and family to achieve that, let's hope we will manage, to help our supporters we opened a give-away here so you can introduce people without any cost: egulden.org/community/vrienden-van-de-e-gulden

Your so called problem is called inflation and also happens to EFL. The inflation of NLG (by the way this is the efl thread, thank you) will be 1000 per block for still quite some time. It makes completely no sence to buy a coin where 75% of the coins still have to be generated. NLG is way overvalued today because it's blockreward will halve after the bitcoin blockreward will halve. This means the europrice of a coin will rise drasticly and the new coins will be more expensive then today, even at the current satoshi price. Ofcourse it's fun to be able to spend your coins in a shop, but the only reason why EFL can not do that at the moment is because the NLG community does not want our coins to succeed and therefore is not honoust to new merchants they manage to get hooked on their coin. They just do it for NLG and nothing else, some shops don't even accept btc, but our coin has everything ready for merchants to start accepting EFL and I'm quite positive they will after they hear on the news our coin is worth 5 cents / 10 cents / 1 euro Personally i would feel scammed if i find out after 1 year that the people who sold me a new form of paying where not honoust about some competition and that's why I tell everybody who I sell EFL to that there are multiple gulden in circulation, but I am most connected to EFL. The reason why I choose EFL in this time is simple, the amount of shorts on the market (meaning, all the coins that have not been generated) reduces way faster then NLG and therefore has more potential to be the first to achieve a pricelevel that people outside of this small cryptocommunity will notice. Also, the opportunity I got with EFL was given to everybody else, but it was me (and the others of the team ofcourse) who took it. I am not affraid to pull this cart and show the people in this country how things can be done different, the people that are affraid to stick their neck out can be found in the NLG community, as they throw the towel in the ring as soon as something which they cannot control happens to them. I feel the people who chose EFL are the ones who really want crypto to succeed and understand the fundamentals of cryptocoins way better the the average NLG supporter, because let's be honoust, you just called inflation a problem, mind if I laugh? I love to read Luuk his way of dealing with EFL, just use it as a store of value and when we manage to gather more community you can do wallet tot wallet transactions with your friends and family. Before we are there we need to educate the people that selling your EFL for euro's is not mandatory to fullfill a transaction, all we need is a new form of thinking. I already managed to repair my car with EFL, buy a dish antenna for internet in liberland and some other small stuff, so everybody who say's EFL cannot be used just has no imagination and tries to blacklist our coin or promote their holy NLG, but the fact remains that EFL can just aswell be used for payment transactions as any other coin.

The doubling of EFL price is going to only be 9 btc, for NLG it's already 22 btc. I will buy NLG at 200 and below that will be a good price. EFL I would like to buy coins under 3000 so will wait for that to happen. At the moment I will stay with bitcoin because if Greece leaves the Eurozone bitcoin price is going to skyrocket.

Total EFL will be 21 million, you can find the predicted inflation rate on our website: http://egulden.org/info/boekhouding/toekomstMind that core-developers can make mistakes. In the first month of EFL-existence the blockproduction was not the straight line it had to be (720 blocks per day). The first three graphs on page http://egulden.org/info/boekhouding/blockchain-in-beeld illustrate this flaw. The second graph, however, shows how gracefully the algorithm slows down blockproduction to get back in sync with the target. With Guldencoin something else is going on. Due to the latest software release blockproduction slowed down significantly from 150 seconds per block to 250 seconds per block, as I mentioned before. If this is not repaired it will not be 40 years before Guldencoin reaches a total of 1.7 billion but 67 years. Also the blockreward-halving with take some more time as a result.

So Guldencoin don't have to worry about mining running out in this lifetime but inflation going to be rampant for a long time, if I look at Dogecoin with almost 100 billion coins it's price is only 60, if Guldencoin get same amount of users @ 1 billion as Doge has now then price can be 6000 at best. Still can be good investment. EFL growth can be very very high with only 21 million coins. Same amount of users as Doge and price can go as high as 285714. Growth can happen with both coins it seems even at this prices if you willing to wait.

To continue on speed of block-production, and reward-halving, these are not a trivial issues. They largely affect crypo-economics. Due to the fixed blocksize and 10-minute block-speed of bitcoin. Bitcoin allows only 7 Transactions Per Second on average (they are at 1+TPS now). Chrismas shopping in the netherlands only produces hundreds of TPS. When Bitcoin scales up with a factor 10 it wil get bloated. This issue is discussed heavily and risky challenges are proposed : http://sourceforge.net/p/bitcoin/mailman/message/34092527/With e-Gulden and it's protocol settings 35 TPS can be reached. Because e-Gulden is dedicated to a smaller community this will not become an issue soon. This is one of the reasons I think Altcoins are important to cryptocurrency. They serve as pressure valves for Bitcoin (or maybe even escape from). I wouldn't put my hand in the fire betting on bitcoin to be the most valuable crypto-coin in ten years from now. The block-reward halving also has a macro-effect. If the only market-preasure would be blockrewards that are sold straight on the market, halving that would reduce selling pressure significantly. It is not a rule of law, but block-reward halving could double the market price. We saw it with e-Gulden in November and we see it with litecoin now. (markets react early). Currently 9000 EFL do appear per day, mid september that will be 4500 and this repeats every 10 months. An interesting experiment !

On bittrex there is a big order at 3500, I imagine this is one user trying to get as many coins as possible. We can't tell if they will remove the buy order but would like to get coins under 3000, I will wait a month and see if that order stays in place. The user with over 1 million EFL coins on bittrex, isn't this person crazy to leave so many coins on a exchange and not in a cold storage wallet? https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-EFL if you look at distribution. Remember MT GOX, if bittrex gets hacked there is 6 addresses with around 50% of the available supply according to coinmarketcap.

I am not the one with that huge order and i should keep my mouth shut about things like this, but i am assuming this is a group of people who gathered up and let 1 account do their trading. There is now way for me to verify this, but its just what i believe after studing the different forums.

Of course 3000 is a better buying-price, but 3000 currently does mean 0,0066 Euro and 3500 would mean 0,0076 Euro for each EFL. If you would just spend one Euro you get yourself 117 EFL. That is 117 times as much as the average EFL-capital of every dutch citizen. Just put the decimal point four positions to the right, then you see what you have got. And still you would have four decimal positions left. 1 Euro, what are we talking about ? It's getting less every day.

I have been looking at that the 360 day graph on coinmarketcap and it looks like the price is at a peak point judging from past price bumps to the positive side. I am someones btc profit if I buy up 10-20k coins at these prices. So I will wait until the price goes back below 3000 again like it has in the past. I am not in the business of losing money and if the price of EFL goes to 5000 tomorrow it will be my loss but at least I haven't lost. I won't mention nlg again as it looks like it hit a nerve with Anonylz.

I am not in the business of losing money and if the price of EFL goes to 5000 tomorrow it will be my loss but at least I haven't lost. I won't mention nlg again as it looks like it hit a nerve with Anonylz. So Luuk it will be hard to get EFL below 3000 because there are more people they want to buy below 3000.... A volume of 10-20k it.s almost impossible! You can also watch to buy BTC at €200 and then pay a little bit more for efl. You tell to invest for long term. Then you can also buy at higher prices. For short then i can understand you but then are there other coins..But more Risk! 15000 EFL at 3000 = 0.45 btc 15000 EFL at 3800 = 0,57 btc We talking about a different from 0,12 btc €26 So when you want to invest for long term that is Zeero. And also when then the price go to 3000 you buy again 15000EFL thats trading. And why invest in alt coins for you it is always a risk you have to many Questions.... It is like real live you trust some one ore not! What i don't understand you are new in Crypto and you look at efl Why? When you buy BTC you come in a new world..And btc is also a risk. Gr Zeero

Funny reasoning. What is the difference between 3000 and 3500 ? Of course 3000 is a better buying-price, but 3000 currently does mean 0,0066 Euro and 3500 would mean 0,0076 Euro for each EFL. If you would just spend one Euro you get yourself 117 EFL. That is 117 times as much as the average EFL-capital of every dutch citizen. Just put the decimal point four positions to the right, then you see what you have got. And still you would have four decimal positions left. 1 Euro, what are we talking about ? It's getting less every day. We have had plenty of trolls around and for me you are just the next in line, could be wrong though, but I just tell you right away that I believe your real name is not Luuk at all, sorry for my suspiciousness. Ow by the way, just in case you are really new, you are not making someone a profit if you buy now, but you are buying newly mined coins for the most. EDIT: Oops market changed, nevermind

Hey everybody, I just made a new EFL thread in the discussion section, because our coin was not represented in that area yet. Check it out here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1095092
