Easy to call somebody a scammer with no proof at all. Explain why he is a scammer? If this is true a lot of people will be thankful.

God forbid any crypto developer work on one coin and then move on to another. Crypto investors are notorious for being salty about any coin they lost money on so the follow and fud the developers as if they are responsible for peoples losses.

Some of the most talented developers in crypto have worked on many different projects, look at the developer of EOS, same guy from bitshares....

Only 8million of coins in circulation, sure FCT will go to the moon this week. Buy and hold.

If it's not Bitfinex, then it's unlikely that the listing will be useful, yet not for me

This is a nice way to cut costs for your clients, albeit your solution has a single point of failure - FACTOM servers. So, it is interesting service .

DLOC BY SMARTRAC
secured by Factom

Factom is proud to offer dLoc in partnership with SMARTRAC, a leading developer, manufacturer, and supplier of RFID products. dLoc is a document authentication and verification system that reliably authenticates any essential documents, including birth certificates, land titles, and medical records.

Now any institution that issues vital records including governments, banks, hospitals, and universities can put the power of blockchain technology and the trust of well-established industry standards into protecting the integrity of their vital records.

It's easy to get started

Apply the dLoc sticker to any document
Start tracking your documents in the SMART COSMOS platform
Here is How dLoc Works:

The sticker contains a SMARTRAC Bullseye NFC inlay, which incorporates a special security chip.  It can hold context information, such as images and biometrics, which can be stored as public data or as private data accessible to authorized parties only. You can choose from a range of different chip platforms with storage capacities between 1kB and 64kB. dLoc stickers support all the standard security features including guilloches, UV print, micro text or latent images.

Your document's data is married to the unique ID for the NFC tag and is only recognizable by you via a private key. You then can manage the document in the SMART COSMOS platform. SMART COSMOS has a seamless integration with the simple Factom Apollo, securing your data in the Factom blockchain.

Once you issue the document with your dLoc sticker, it can be verified using a desktop reader or a mobile app on an NFC-enabled phone. You just scan the documents to see their true history and have the confidence that they are authentic.

As long as APIcoin scammer Johnson is chairman of anything inside this project Factom will only go down.
What's wrong with Johnson? Why did you call him a scammer? I would like to know more about him.

Just look up the bitcointalk thread in the annoncements of altcoins and read through it. Also see how David Johnston is giving all the answers.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=650221.80

Also check the info below:

https://medium.com/@DJohnstonEC/informational-report-on-api-network-dff2b5289acc

All websites are down:

http://www.buyxap.com/

http://www.apinetwork.co/

These are still up:

https://www.slideshare.net/programmableweb/david-johnston

https://github.com/APINetwork/ProtocolSpec

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69Ch12aQh6s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ivm9OEetBzs

All these websites and speeches were used to LURE investors into this SCAM. I invested 1.5 BTC and nothing was EVER developed. I call that a SCAM and David Johnston was definitely involved heavily in deceiving the investors. The amount of Bitcoin that was collected with this crowdsale is worth 10s of millions at current value. AND THEN HE CALLS HIMSELF AN ANGEL INVESTOR. YEAH WITH MY MONEY......

He never ever gave any comments on this. He was just appointed this chairman position at Factom. UN-BE-LIEV-AB-LE.

Seriously, people who call my accusations false have not read into this. There is no denying this was a scam and there is no denying that Johnston is the only person on the web that is related to this project.

IF he was not involved and only promoting it.... he should have gone to the Police. Cuz he knows that nothing has ever been developed in this project.

Don't call me a investors who is just sad about losing his investment... It is obvious that David collected a couple of thousand of BTC and never ever developed anything in this project. I just presented enough proof!

I can confirm this story. I also invested in API-coin and I have made similar accusations in this thread before, never got a decent statement from Johnston.

Ok..ok...i feel your pain and sorry for what you lost. I myself was burned several times back in 2014 when promises were made from developers but never panned out. Checkcoin was one of them, several more too.

I didn't know any of this information, I am curious what was ever said? Did they ever give any kind of explanation? The last post said they got an answer but not a solid one.

Unfortunately I feel like this has happened over and over again in crypto, dev works/promotes a project...it goes south and then they move on.

Ten million $ of bitcoin today was $50,000 back in 2014. Just sayin, bitcoin has gone up a wee bit since then. I don't know the history here, but is it possible they just failed, instead of 'scamming'? Maybe it was a hard puzzle to solve, and took another iteration.

What I do know is, the Reddit Ama was solid, and tickled my brain. There are so many documents that need to be archived in the cloud with easy retrieval, and if you can incorporate the cost of the transaction into the file itself, we have a very practical use case. I hope you make back your investment!
