Hi All. a quick question :

Downloaded last Enterprise version of the wallet Win64, node v0.4.2.0 and happens this, when i start the node, (factomd.exe) and i open the web ui on port 8090, i see that start downloading the blockchain, with some active peers, but slowly peers disappear, and now i am at 98% by two days and i have no connections to other peers.

Any suggestion to have again some peers to complete the chain download ? Or why they slowly disappear and i can't connect to others any more ?

No vpn, firewall yes... restated factomd twice in a week, and always the same it restarts to download the chain from 0 (and this seems, to me, weird) and stops after a day or two....

About the firewall i have to say, that i have wallets active on the same pc, and on other pc's on the same network (diamond, ok bitcoin, doge, exodus), i'm also mining burst and no one has an issue.....

quick update : stopped factomd.exe with a CTRL+C, in this way probably he memorized the last position in downloading the chain, after that i've restarted, and now i still have good connections to peers, and i'm at 99%.

I hope that i have understood how it works..... seems that closing the command windows by the red X don't like it very much.....

i keep you updated, about peers, at the moment i have 18 connections....

One more question what does the "Node Sync status (2nd pass)" means ?

This second one is still at 9%

we needed to have some good answer from the dev here so everyone can use the wallet properly and with the exchange i seen good movement again
factom makes good as an investment for long term hold then wait for a good timing or aim for the price that desired before selling it.

u do know it not necessarily to download the whole blockchain u can put the factom live node in enterprise wallet settings

Because the original wallet from Factom, expecially until not so time ago, didn't have an UI, so all operations were to be done by command line, now there is an UI, but stil is not so easy to manage, i know a lot of wallets, and effectively started to work also with this, and i have to say that is a bit complicated....

Exodus, is simple, so is good for mass adoption. Easy to manage coins in it.

It s quite simple, you just need to click “Custom Factomd Location” and enter factomd-live.cloudapp.net:8088
That s all. No need to download the blockchain.

By the way now with the last version, seems that connections to peers seems more stable, after some hours, 23 peers available.

One more question, in this way, (using external blockchain), i don't have to start factomd.exe ?
