Deposits and withdrawals disabled in poloniex. Something good good for us or will it be just routine maintenance? Who knows...
This already the case for (nearly) 2 weeks now. Has to do with the roll-out of M2. This is completed on Factom side, but Exchanges always take there time to test new software in great detail, which is good. Should be enabled soon again. Okay, got it, thank you very much.

People who follow channel, what do devs say, how long is this stalemate going to last. M2 implementation started on before NY.

Devs don't really communicate on what's going on. It looks that Factom clients lose synchronisation with last blocks after some running hours, I guess they are busy solving this issue.

I would also appreciate any information, but unfortunately I can not do anything but wait. We all have to wait. Paul Snow on Slack: Question: @paulsnow Very much looking forward to you and the Marketing Team ( @tianalaurence) providing updates on specific FCT partnerships, deals, and progress. Any official news on DHS? Smartrac? etc..?Paul Snow: "There is an announcement about DHS in #media (last couple days). Smartrac also did an announce I think. Mostly we are heads down working some issues with the exchanges, the roll out of M2, and existing projects. We try to limit our public statements to real news and progress."

Then we come back to the old story whether we re actually important for Factom or not so I wont even go that way. Let s wait a bit more and see, hope to hear some good news soon.

In my opinion the informations are not so bad lately. Paul Snow is active on slack and whatever is important also is pasted here. The situation is just not optimal - but will be solved for sure. No other option than to wait. But once it's done, I believe we have good times ahead. Btw, maybe even in short term. Bitcoin will most likely continue to be weak-volatile: China-Updates about PBOC and Exchanges: https://twitter.com/cnLedger/status/821716566060343301https://twitter.com/cryptoSqueeze/status/821716575958900738Means: A lot of potential for more panic-attacks in China and hopefully more Bitcoin into other markets. That could come together with "M2 rollout is finished!" plus "Exodus soon!" and whatever good news they have else in the pipeline. ;-)

Please speak for yourself only Ivan. As a holder and community member I am certainly not insecure. And this "are we" important to factom ? Don't include me in that statement please by using "we" as you are not representing me. I have worked in IT and I understand how project management and timelines go. I'm not being mean or unfriendly here just pointing out that when you speak for others they might have different opinions. I fully agree with you on let's wait for good news. Namaste.

Factom devs have not committed themselves in any way to this forum. Name one company who give weekly updates to shareholders? Not a single company does. Let them do their thing and if you are nervous about not getting weekly updates, then just don't invest. And on top of this: holding Factoids is by far the same as holding shares in Factom. So here is your answer @Crazyivan: pure holders of Factoids (not contributing in any sense to dev work) are not important at all to Factom. Why would they? It does not influence the business at all. The money people spend on Factoids is not going to Factom, so why would they take the time to write news every week if there is no news? How can there be news every week in the first place? If you sell your factoids because Factom doesn't update you often enough, then anybody else who doesn't care about weekly updates but just about the bigger picture, happily buys your factoids. But I guess this message will have again no effect on the die hard whiners...

I do not know if there s any other crypto forum which s older or more prominent compared to this one. I m simply concerned we have no news for 20 days since M2 implementation started. We do know from unofficial sources they have been working on fixing Polo issue. What else might be the problem or if there s an issue at all, nobody knows but Factom team. To other Factom shills, I ll state it once more, this is NOT COMMUNISM. Transparency in these kind of issues s very important cause based on false or unrevealed info people might lose their money. Look what happened to VW and other car producers for hiding their info about gases their cars produce. I do not see why crypto industry would be any different since Factoids are in a sense semi product of Factom. Saying go sell your tokens if you do not like the fact nothing s being revealed s really mature. I wonder what would happen with VW if they would come to their users and say FCK you, we aint saying what s going on.

That is my main concern about all these tokenised ICOs, the ICO investors get nothing from them expect the tokens and haveno financial obligation or responsibility to ICO investors. I think ICO investors need to start to ask more than tokens from these guys.

The Factom Slack is where the community is. There are several channels for different topics. It's civil, professional, and well moderated. If you want to know the state of things that's where you will find the information. I don't have the link but it will be a page or few back.

I think ICO investors need to start to ask more than tokens from these guys. Well, I was not a buyer when ICO was running, but even I made an almost 100% return in a month (bought december 6th when it was at 1.58 USD). I assume the ICO buyers bought factoids far below that price and if they still hold them today I think they have nothing to complain about, since they got a significant ...x return on investment in USD value I assume. More than when they would have hold BTC since then. But for some people things can never go fast enough or news can never come frequent enough.

Many crypto projects have moved their activity to Slack and other forums to avoid all the trolls here. Serious projects need a well controlled discussion group at some point in development. This in no way should be taken as "abandoning" their users/investors. It should be viewed as a "step up" in professionalism. I do not personally know if FACTOM has a Slack channel but, if they do, and you want to know whats happening: Join the Slack...

Yap, there is a Slack channel, someone posted a link a few days ago and it s not hard to find it. Still, I prefer Blog, Forum, anything static where crucial info s easier to find. Hunting down Factom staff over chat to ask them questions is not something I d like to do.

If you just consume (read) the slack channel so now and then, you will already be updated enough probably and there will likely be no need to 'hunt' them down for more questions. Others will do it for you. Now you are dependent on people who are on Slack to update you here. Don't think there is a point for them in doing so.
