100 wallets own 98.8% of Bitbay, is that a bad thing or a good thing? Kinda scary that we only have 100 people backing bitbay

Without a doubt its an issue. Not ideal at all. There are some pros. For example, if we peg it, more coins will be kept off the market making it even more scarce. If a buy wall is needed it may be lower. Then with adequate volume, it can distribute for people who want to hedge against another coin.

Interesting math:

400,000,000/7,000,000 = 70 days.
400,000,000*0.00000065 = 260 btc.

Miserable wages for miserable people. Zimbeck the Turd will take it though, what other alternative has he...?

I had my account hacked by the BitBay team to post positive comments here about 2 weeks ago. That's when I bailed this bullshit.

I find it humorous that people are still interested in this dead horse.

When 4chan meets Wall Street...it gets ugly

When they make a movie about this, this should be the tagline.

I'm still interested in this "dead horse".

The reason I'm interested is that this project is unique in many ways. There is still no competitor more advanced in progressing towards the technical goals that this project has set itself.

You feel free to ditch it.

I won't be.

only pegging should be unique to bitbay. otherwise it's blackcoin, blackhalo, nighttrader, however they call it

Smart Contract, Double Lock & decentrelized marketplace built in wallet (all in one crypto) are unique things about Bay. Pegging is FAR from being unique. lol..what an idiot

His point is that Blackcoin has all those features as well, except for pegging.

HOWEVER

Bitbay's wallet has a much better UI than the current Blackhalo client. The smart contract setup is more straight forward and has more functions.

Blackhalo will eventually get this as well but the fact remains that Bitbay already had this for month.

If that ICO wasn't such a fucking scam then this coin would have a horde of excited people messing around with smart contracts, something which NO other coin currently has, not even Blackcoin.

Agreed it sucks but will try to work out the kinks from here. By the way, did you see the BlackHalo UI? Its awesome. The reason I didnt release that one yet was because I'm making it a big release.

Also, when I fork Bitbay with checklocktimeverify the contracts will be much faster than BC. But BC has NightTrader. Although NT release was delayed to hit the markets in Halo (don't forget BC and BTC also get markets) So there are tradeoffs.

Yeah the new UI looks brilliant. Most importantly it has the actual description of the smart contract which currently doesn't exist in the blackhalo build. A few blackcoiners are trying to run the same contest now but it just isn't the same under the old interface. I hope they run a new one when the new build hits.

That's what Bitbay had going for. People actually being giddy about using it. Simply having the functionality isn't enough. It's not about being the first, it's about being the first to bring it to the masses. Just like google pay existed for quite a while until Apple took it and actually made it mainstream.

Only pegging may be unique. Bitcoin 42 (bitcoin42.com) claim to be using bithalo, blackhalo and nighttrader:

----------------
Global P2P Exchange

With the help of smart contracts, empowered with the Bithalo and Blackhalo client, we can perform world wide exchanges, trusting strangers
----------------

Was it licensed to them too?

Apart from that the scammers have ran off with it an probably have already spent it on bullshit, it's also just practically impossible to refund a coin after it's been traded.
