I ran my gear on this pool when they first started til shortly after their s3 giveaways (which some say were staged)

to me they were great while I was here, they constantly paid more than avg and any issues were promptly resolved.  any discrepancies in pay and sobr was quick to fix the issues and even pay extra on top of what was owed.  I know there were a couple times when they paid me more than what I should have received as a way to apologize or be nice about their downtime.

I think their biz model just got the best of them, I honestly dont think they were shady, just got caught up trying to overpay people to stick around and be a top pool

droid I agree with you and will say I know that I won a S3 and did get it even thou it took a while. Even the fact that the 0% fee  PPS payment system was not sustainable was true, as many keep pointing out, we were lead to believe the pool was to be use as a draw for a bigger business the OP had planned, which made sense, as we see this many times with other businesses. Was the pool a scam... in my opinion no. Has it worked out as the OP thought ...most likely not....but what pisses me off most is the fact sorb wanted to be transparent and open about what was going on and i found that to not be the truth towards the end. I trusted him enough to loan him BTC to help make payments which he did pay me back once the block cleared, so I did trust him and felt he tried to build a good pool, but the wheels fell off this bus a long time ago and  I can only imagine how much money sorb spent on it all.

Those who are stupid enough to still be mining here must be really pleased that s0br/Gil is using their earnings to rent hash for himself........ Roll Eyes

Although, pool is now at 0.18PH - so those rentals are gone now too, just like your earnings.

Fortunately this acct has been proven to be one of fourteen controlled by a single person for the sole purpose of anonymously attacking BAN, Bitmain, and a couple other companies:

And I agree 100% with Tigger. Anyone in the know remembers I worked for this pool. It wasn't ever a scam, but the business model was completely unsustainable and that's why it fell apart. I don't take well to dishonesty in crypto and s0br was never dishonest. He's actually one of the most honest, and generous people I've ever met. Generous, perhaps to a fault, leading to the 100+% PPS model. Most of the hardcore attacks were coming from 14 accounts tied to a single, sad guy in the UK, who wasn't even smart enough to try to hide his IP and ISP, and use different wallets when posting addresses. Dogie's thread does a great job of proving this.

Along with many of you I wish this had turned out better; I sunk 6 months of my life into that pool trying to make things work. But con, kano, Tigger, and a few others nailed it - basic economics predicted the collapse.

Well... The miners would have done better than on any other PPS pool, but not better than any pool.  I showed that p2pool did better than BAN during the timeframe when things were all working as expected.  Anyway, time marches on and hopefully people learn from their mistakes Smiley

FWIW, most of the hardcore attacks coming from that single guy were in the name of P2Pool. Not saying you're in that boat too, but one guy with a giant P2Pool stick up his ass caused most of the undue drama around this pool.

Blaming other pools for your own failings does not reflect well on you, especially after reading through your comments on your scam thread:

That's s0br mining with rentals on his own. I don't think anyone is daft enough to mine here now - too many have been scammed/unpaid.

You sure the pool just didn't have a problem when you looked as it's showing 3PH/s and 46 active users and 175 miners

But I think your right on both as I see the pool loss 2 active users and pool hash rate is .55 PH/s so I guess it may very well be him renting.
