After all the blocks the pool found in the last few days and all being confirmed...not sure why the payments are not coming thru in a timely fashion??

I contacted BAN support today, and they said they are working through a back log right now.

At least one node is down, and I think the preferences on the Geo server have been changed. So you might see your miners on unusual nodes. Hopefully the changes make sense and reduce your invalids.

On another note, multi-output payments are a reality now. This puts the fees more in line with other pools. So nothing to worry about there any longer, thank goodness Smiley

I did notice my miners mining on some nodes in some places they never have before and once I even seen overseas. Yesterday 2 miners did drop from the pool for a very short time but were back on in less than 5-10 mins.

What is "multi-output payments"? I take it that it is where you can set a coin amount instead of a time frame for payments? If so is that set by the miner or the pool?

What I meant was that before one pool payment transaction used 0.0001 fee for one payment(output). Now, it's up to 50 outputs per transaction. The fee has to go a little past 0.0001 for all 50 usually, but this works out to a large savings over time. And that savings makes the 1% bonus more secure.

My local machine is back on the node closest, but the China miners are actually using Tokyo now, a place they never touched before. My invalids have gone down, so I can't complain.

Last two blocks and the current one we are working on has been long. I'm current on payments, but I hope to see more lucky blocks.

@rkinnin, I'd just use 3333 and set the diff you want. Remember diff can be set with a username like username.machine##1024 with 1024 being a diff. Usernames are auto-added, so just set the machine and keep mining.

Not sure if you've bothered to read up about PPS and the statistics of it.
Paying PPS is never secured except by the pocket of the person paying it.
All PPS pools will eventually payout more than it mines if paying a 0% bonus, let alone a higher one.
There is a reason why PPS pools charge a fee and need a sizeable balance ... proven by mathematics/statistics.

I am confused about the first point...statistically speaking, over a period of time the luck should even out and even a PPS pool will "break even" yes?

the second point I understand...as we have experienced first hand, the pool needs to have a pretty good buffer to get over the unlucky humps

+100!

Not only is his knowledge & understanding of Bitcoin undeniable, but the work he & ck do for the community is legendary. One simply has to look at his pool thread to see that he is trustworthy, open & transparent with anyone & everyone who asks a question, with all payments being on time & constant updates as to the running of his pool - which absolutely can't be said for this pool/thread.

I will only mine at a pool that I trust, has a clean reputation, pays on time & is open & transparent. S0br/BAN fails in every department.

Let me expand a bit on kano's answer for you.

Statistically speaking, over time a PPS pool will be under 100% luck.  Why?  Orphans.  Every pool, no matter how well connected to the network is in a race with every other pool to submit a block to the chain.  Sometimes you're gonna lose that race.  So, if you discount the race, then over time you'd expect a 100% average luck.  Because of the race, you'd expect a less than 100% luck average over time.

That's why PPS pools typically charge fees - to cover the expected loss over time.  Without those fees, then the coverage must come from the pool operator's pockets.

The Sun God is a fun God Ra Ra Ra

I almost spit my coffee onto my laptop... too funny!

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.

According to the OP on the first page of this thread:

Payment System: PPS + 10% Bonus.
Payment Intervals: 1,2,4,8,12,24 hours.

We are in a patch of bad luck now, but I'm sure things will turn around and everyone will be paid asap. I like everyone else, was paid last on the 17th, 5 hours before my local midnight. The pool has paid nothing out in the last 24 hours, but did pay out 69.02355119BTC in the last 3 days. There is one block that will confirm in 35 blocks.

I don't understand why someone else running a pool, is so negative towards this one. I really don't want to be associated with someone like that. You aren't protecting us from anything. Show us we can earn more with you, in your own thread, not here.

Why do you mine on a pool that's so unreliable when it comes to paying out? Aren't you afraid the pool operator will run with all your coins? It wouldn't be the first time it happened and it won't be the last time it happened. I guess there's a sucker born every minute.

It's a risk I accept and have my reasons.  But yes, it is a risk.
