Hate to break it to you, but before or after asics, there will still be only 25 BTC per block that are mined. To a large extend, I suspect they will even be mined by the very same people.

25 per block, but until difficulty adjusts a significant rise in the network hashrate would yield more blocks a day than usual. Currently, looking at blockexplorer.com, the last 20 blocks seem to average around 6 minutes each. You'd have to look at a bigger sample to see if it's just a fluke, but keeping an eye on the rate of block discovery might be informative.

When's the next retarget anyway?

According to BitcoinWatch:

Next Difficulty in 893 blocks    3,478,752

I don't recall how accurate that normally is.

What dip?

Mt.Gox/ EUR on new hights. The last three times the BTC/ EUR walked through the last high - before the USD did - , the BTC/ USD quickly "followed". (In case you haven't bought yet, lol)

GBP is also at an all time high, also at XE exchange rates before the US dollar.  I wonder if anyone's done statistical analysis on this to see whether there is some predictive  value in spotting these?

Its happening today, believe it or not.

(on this pic you see 26.29$ per todays EUR/ USD exchange rate [19.50€])

I even quote the devil:

Another view. Fighting with resistance. Breaking up from here may mean another wave 5 extension (up to 32).

I don't know whether to be excited that the market took the wall scare so well or be confused because they didn't think it was real... Maybe we will pick up some cheap coins? I'm not sure how I feel about this...

Still holding my coins no matter what Tongue

The orderbook changed, lately..
Looking here

it was right under 80k bid and around 20k ask. Sure, from time to time a huge wall would appear, and vanish again.
Now the ask went up to 50k, with only little steps.
Is this a slightly more clever version of a scarewall? Or did sentiment change, indicating the pricedevelopment to follow soon?

 Smiley

thank you for posting this.

k well looks like someone wants to put the breaks on this rally....

... i don't buy it....

look how the price appears to have drop fast yet bids are being placed above the the curent price...

what happened

their was a sell off when they saw the wall

then bids where placed, high and no one sold into them?

i think this chart is a Photoshop / bugged / or if true... really fucking bullish

I don't appreciate being called a liar.

Nah, somebody is putting up organic looking asks to make it look like the sentiment changed.
