I wonder how many use Clark Moody compared to Btccharts?

Moody spiked to 625, definitely the highest I've ever seen.

One would think mtgoxlive.com would at least keep up. Isnt that mtgox's own website?

The bounce is already over $25.  Incredible!

Crude Oil and Gold futures can dip and bounce similarly, but a much smaller percentage, and usually take many hours or even a whole day to come back.

Incidentally, the old Gold and Oil futures on ICBIT are sheduled for settlement this evening, if I recall correct. And they will be settled to the average Gox rate of today.....  Wink

Great, I see we are now back at $25, and my buy order was not filled despite the price going below it. Now I get the goxxed jokes.

I leave Gox for alternative more than a year ago for that kind of stuff happening.. I'll never get back to Gox trading Wink
Maybe alternatives dont have so much volume, but I  prefer reliability over volume !

Kind of makes you think that there may be a LOT of USD sitting on Gox off the bid mountain.

There's also a lot of BTC sitting in Gox off the ask mountain as well.

There's a whole lot.  Notice that as tens of thousands of bitcoins were getting sold, total number of BTCs on the sell side of the order book didn't change much at all.  Those BTCs weren't from the standing sell orders, they were from the people keeping their BTCs off the book, and there's a lot more where that came from.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Eeeyah!  I go away from home and don't check the net for 3 hours, and this is what happens???  Shocked

Fortunately I bought a little above $24 just before leaving the house.  Nobody told me we were gonna hit $21-22 territory, though.  Roll Eyes

Learning to read technical indicators will make you a better bearish troll, we could estimate how many BTCs are purchased above what price, yeah, there are ways to do that.

more shens ongoing

I am not trusting anything right now

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.
