Now they are blaming the downtime on their internet presence provider, Rackspace. Josh cannot take blame for anything.

Is Josh/MtGAW still running the "MOST SUCCESFUL ISP in the WORLD" - Genius At Work ISP in MA... Huh

If so...he does NOT NEED another   "internet presence provider", like Rackspace ...CORRECT... Huh

Another fat lie ...excuse .... Grin

It gives the impression that the hashlets are thingies

like depicted but surely almost nobody has been dumb

enough to believe that they have thousands upon thousands

of such thingies stacked in a warehouse  Grin

It´s just a marketing gimmick.

I bought those hashlets because they mined bitcoin

at a certain rate. That was swell until suddenly

everything went down the crapper. So I left, more

or less at even fortunately. To resume mining bitcoin

elsewhere. That´s my experience with this company.

Now; if they can be competitive in mining bitcoin again

I may very well buy back in.

In Deutschland on business, but wanted to say a few things. Guys/Gals, let's stay focused and continue logging the evidence of what is obvious regarding [what appears to be] an elaborate crypto scam.

I still cannot understand how he is permitted to continue with these deceptive marketing practices. I expect 99% reading this sales pitch expect they are buying a physical device. The whole sales pitch about buying our 'miner' with electricity costs built in and maintance and no need for wires and complicated setting etc. along with the ficticious picture of a physical device, how is this permissible in this day and age? It is like a used car sales man touting this wonder vehicle and if you act fast enough and pay cash we will throw in 4 wheels and an engine. Look at this beauty dodge impala  our price even includes a steering wheel. Come on.  This is the scummiest slimiest advertising ever:

http://www.gawminers.com/pages/hashstaker

How many people buy it and it is not what they expect and then are sweet talked to keep it when finding out?

Surely the FTC can examine this deception and make a declaration of sorts?  That advertising of theirs is pure deceiving filth and it continues to go unabated.

https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1

I think some complaints need to be lodged with the FTC for good measure and to ensure newbs and oldsters don't get tricked into his further schemes.

Look at how long it took the FTC to step in with BFL. They have shit to do. They might get involved eventually, but it's still a much better idea to not give your money to these people than to give it to them and wait for the system to get your money back.

What I don´t understand is why this turning shit to bitcoin

thing suddenly didn´t work anymore, in fact totally tanked.

I mean, there´s no shortage of shit, there´s megatons

of it and more is being added every day.

Last I looked about 10 days ago their Terms and Conditions had a single sentence afterthought inserted in it stating it is virtual software and not hardware, except the previous paragraphs continued to suggest it was hardware.

Marketing gimmick is unacceptable. This is what is getting KNC into trouble. They buried their acceptance of T&C 3 layers deep with plaintext links to it. You can't  pretend on the front page something is one thing, then bury the truth in some hiddent T&C's. As stated before no different to yellow page boiler room fake invoicing where 3 pages in in tiny print it may state this is just a marketing ploy.

Responsible companies go so far as to include a footnote in the front page of their marketing advert, for example if it is a device or application for a smart phone and there is a picture of the phone to highlight what their applicationis or does, they foot note it with * pictured phone not included.

Sure it might be obvious, but that is reponsible marketing, here with that grinning idiot he is going out of his way to fool people and hiding behind the small print.

Are you talking about Scrypt mining? Titans raised LTC difficulty by ~50% in a couple of months. It has been flat recently for a week or two, so it all depends on the exchange rate now.

My hint is more for Scott to include it in his dossier since he has FCC, SEC. FTC should round it all off.

Maybe even contact the CIA since the claim that SHA + AUTHY is the standard that the CIA uses. Never heard a bigger crock of shit in my life.

Come on, there´s an overabundance of crap of varying

difficulty. Of course some of it has very limited liquidity

so industrial mining to dump for BTC hurts the criminals

putting out this crap. That may be part of the explanation

why it tanked at GAW and Genesis.

Well, it´s an Occam´s razor type of thing if you´ve heard of

that. Mess with business of psychopathic criminals and you

Haven't looked at the terms in a while.. they've changed quite a bit... this made me laugh (although I may be used by everyone, I usually don't read that stuff)

CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MIGHT HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.

Now, Zen TOS..

Quote from: ZenCloud TOS
9.2 Hashlets.

A Hashlet is a divisible and assignable allocation of hasing power from Company-owned and hosted mining hardware. The amount of hashing power associated with a particular Hashlet may fluctuate depending on the performance and output of the underlying hardware. Some Hashlets may be optimized to work with multiple mining pools, while others may pool-specific.  The User understands that Hashlets are not physical devices and cannot be shipped to the User.

Through the ZenMiner Platform, the Company operates an internal marketplace for hashing power (the “Hash Market”), allowing Users to buy and sell hashlets . The Company reserves the right to charge a fee for such trading activity, which Company may determine in its sole discretion. Company may cancel any trade at any time, for any reason. The Company may also reverse a trade at any time, for any reason.

The User is not permitted to use automated methods, including but not limited to automatic scripts and trading bots, in conjunction with the Hash Market. Any executed trade in violation of this Section 9.2 will be reversed, and the proceeds from such trade(s) will be forfeited.

Have the report of invalid pricing in market being sold in less than a second been reverted and forfeited?  This section says "will" rather than "can".  With basic MySQL it would be easy to know that item A was listed at 00:00:00.000 and sold at 00:00:01.123. (date A minus date B greater than threshold)

Now this one is intersting:
Quote from: ZenCloud TOS
9.5 HashPoints.

ZenMiner utilizes an internal coupon and rebate reward system called Hashpoints. Hashpoints are the property of GAW and can be redeemed for products and services available on the ZenMiner Platform.  Hashpoints may be used once and may be subject to review upon submission for redemption. Hashpoints are electronically distributed the GAW and are not available via any other method. Hashpoints have no cash value and are not convertible into any from of cryptocurrency.  This rebate program shall not be construed as investment or guaranteed interest payout program, investment scheme, or participatory monetary pool in which Hashpoints have an “in house value”. Failure to use Hashpoints by the expiration date hereon shall result in forfeiture. GAW reserves the right to terminate the Hashpoint program at any time, for any reason.  In the case of fraud, misrepresentation, abuse or violation of these terms and conditions, GAW reserves the right to take all available legal or administrative action. Other restrictions and exclusions may apply

This one got made me jump out of disbelieve: (Look for the 24h exclusion)
Quote from: ZenMiner TOS
9.6 Activation.

Users who purchase a Hashlet will receive an activation code within 24 hours of placing an order. Activation will require a User to register an account by visitng https://cloud.zenminer.com. Users who have not received  an activation code within 24 hours may file a claim at https://gawminers.freshdesk.com/helpdesk, receive an activiation code and full refund for the Product you are fiing a claim for. Hashlets do not qualify for the 24-hour activation guarantee promotion.

Your claim will be denied in the event the Company has sent an activation code but you were unable to receive it or retrieve it within the 24-hour period for reasons including, but not limited to: spam filters, incorrect email address, blocked by ISP, inaccessibility to your registered email with gawminers.com.

This one was brouth up before: (as far as I know this is illegal where I live)
Quote from: ZenCloud TOS
18. MODIFICATION OF TERMS OF SERVICE.

GAW reserves the right to change, add or remove portions of these Terms of Service, at any time, in an exercise of its sole discretion.  Your continued use of the Site following changes to these Terms of Service signifies that you accept and agree to the changes, and that all subsequent transactions by you will be subject to the amended Terms of Service.

There was a lot more in there.

Would be fun to have an archive of the TOS to be able to see an evolution over time.

P.S. Genesis doesn´t even offer Scrypt anymore.

Out of stock. I very seriously doubt that this was

caused by runaway sales.
