..... Trite aphorisms aren't code. I'm waiting patiently (Hell, I don't even have a computer I can run the code on at the moment), but most of the convo in this thread isn't about the code; it's about currency speculation. Until there's a client, this is just a good idea that a bunch of people are gambling on. People are welcome to gamble or not, but doubt is a perfectly reasonable response at this point.
21 Inc just raised $116m, they ain't got much either. Ethereum raised what, $18m? they ain't got much either. Sidechains raised what, $20m? they ain't got much either. So one of the few projects that could define the internet for the next 20 years is only worth what $40k atm? This project could be huge but seems too huge to be true I guess. Dev needs to show his powers if he has any

To all the early bag holders, chill out, 5 months and all VTR has is a wallet.. Yes that maybe so but it also hasn't dumped to 1 sat like most coins that only have a wallet would've already done Right? Yeah, but I wouldn't pay more than 1 sat for a coin with a wallet and a broken block explorer, there are hundreds other useless coins to buy Exactly what i had in mind. I dont mind paying 5k sats/coin if there's a valid update. And i dont buy coins in few thousands!

What is BTC then? Stupid remark. This project is on the edge of legality so I can understand that dev. wants to be "under the radar". I'm more interested in question : will dev. and when will deliver... It will be nice to hear some words from dev. .... dev.?

If I were the dev, I would probably want to be anonymous as well.

People should have their own VTR market pages where they can post uploads for people to download or stream and watch like youtube.
Users should be able to set VTR prices for their videos or get some type of incentives to upload.

If this happens ill be compiling up an up-to-date library of college textbooks in PDF form, might as well kill that racket while we're at it

Though I warn you, those companies make it a pain in the ass to do. The digital formats are usually not pdfs, but poorly programmed websites. It might be easiest to simply scan them page by page.

I'm with you on that one, the school where I used to go would force students to buy new overpriced textbooks every single year. Bastards! People should have their own VTR market pages where they can post uploads for people to download or stream and watch like youtube.

Dev is active (check his profile)... And he's taken the time to PM people on various issues... I'd rather have him working than joking with 1,000 morons in slack.
This is a serious project at a serious stage... alpha testing of torrent functionality... There is a reason why you have zero working crypto torrent projects as of May 2015... Except maybe Storj (uses torrent lib) apparently finished 1st round of alpha = many months away.

That's good. Sounds like the dev could use a non-technical friend to keep the public updated.

Hello killacam8888, 1. How many new VTR are minted per year? By network protocol specification, VTR's Proof-of-stake interest is at 5% per year, but number of new VTR minted per year will also depends on the amount of VTR being staked in the network. 2. What happens when the max vtr limit is reached is this like Bitcoin? As of now, there is no hard coded maximum supply limit in VTR network protocol specification. 3. I am a crypto noob overall so sorry for dumb questions but does this currency gain interest as i leave it in the wallet or stake it? VTR holder could support the network and gain interest by staking based on any amount of VTR holding in their balance with minimum coin age of 6 hours in an unlocked running client. Stakers in Proof of Stake network is no different than Seeders which consider as backbone of the BitTorrent network. 4. what incentives will there be for people to hold VTR ? As of now with vTorrent project still in early stage, there are little to no incentive (apart from speculation) for holding VTR such as holding to gain interest. This is, however, should change dramatically once there are more features implement in our client, especially after torrents related features are implemented which also aim to fix BitTorrent network incentive to encourage peers to seed. 5. could people open their own VTR market pages? ... Having users to be able to share and trade content with each other is one of the feature in the works for our torrent implementation, it will most likely be build upon current massaging protocol in our client. DEV: WINDOWS WALLET NEEDS AN UPDATE PLEASE! SCALING ISSUES WITH THE TEXT IN WALLET, IT IS CUT OFF. WALLET IS NOT READABLE AT ALL
Please PM me the screenshot of the issue and details about operating system you are running. Thank you all for your interest and ideas to support our project. Regards, vTorrent Ya man, this was vTorrent's last post... but he's gone silent for 10 days before. My guess is that alpha testing would be a small, hand-picked group... And with "vTorrent project still in early stage", yo... Alpha is a point where you must slow it down... and make the right design decisions going forward. I like this project a soooooo much better than Singular/Osetura.
