Oh so India is not in that list. By the way, where can this debit card be used as I have not seen any local shop accepting Bitcoins so this debit card would be handy if shops do accept it as cash.

I can confirm that the card is accepted by paypal. It took only seconds to confirm the card in my paypal account. Very nice now I can buy stuff with bitcoin wherever paypal is accepted.
Oh really? I hadnt even tried as I just assumed it wouldnt work (didnt work with these mbank cards). Gotta try this, this would be very handy indeed. edit: indeed, it works  |

that is nicely done now if paypal would take bitcoin would be awesome, i would say with like a 5% transaction fee though that way it does not try to push bitcoin price down |

i really am glad to be seeing this good experiences, well mostly good i should say since clearly not everyone is going to be happy no matter what is done. I just hope more and more people keep on posting experiences that are positive and i guess even the bad ones that have merrit behind them and not just anger lol

From the moment I got the card it only took minutes. Activation on the site was easy. The phone call for the pin code was no problem at all. Charging the card (waiting for the blockchain was the longest delay) was simple and fast. All in all a very good experience. The site needs some work like a running total in the transaction list also txid for blockchain transfers would be nice. And some strange thing all numbers after the decimal places are 0 which is not normal. |

The price of the card is expected to be set at $17 once we are out of beta and EUR and GBP cards are available. $10 for the USD one is still the promotional beta price, so grab one while it lasts! |

we will certainly aim at providing the service for every country at some point, although it is hard to say about Venezuela for the moment. The current card issuer bank does not allow us to ship cards there, so, it is a matter of finding an alternative banking partner. Do you think there would be high potential demand for such card in Venezuela? As a temporary solution, can only suggest ordering the card to your relatives' or friends' address in a country from the list and nearby |

Also, about the site, I was trying to register and didn't get the account activation e-mail, even when clicking on the "Lost code" link. Is registration locked, by any chance? |

Not sure how you think a visa card is going to alleviate these problems. The card is denominated in US$, and each time you make a local purchase or withdraw money at an ATM, its the official exchange rate that will be applied. Im fairly sure you wont be able to withdraw US$ at an ATM there, nor can you make payments in $, it will all be in Bolivares at the official exchange rate. A card like this might be handy if you want to make (internet) purchases abroad, but I suppose you'll have import taxes that make that about as pointless? or am I missing something ? |
