None of bitcoin or litecoin will be the mainstream, there are coins out that already have second generation cryptocurrency improvments, take capricoin for example, gary conner the altcoinnews owner, hes investing everything he can in capricoin, he thinks its the coin that will go mainstream in 1-2 years.

And the same story has played out a million times before. Maybe one will go places eventually, the overwhelming majority will fade away and sink.

Gary connor? Bless his heart. I hope it works out for him.

If you want me to adopt capricoin, you're not going to do it be appeal to authority. Especially when said 'authority' is presumably a leading drinker of the shitcoin koolaid. Does capricoin have "second generation cryptocurrency improvments"? Your stating such is especially unconvincing. You need to tell me what these "second generation cryptocurrency [changes]" are, and reason out why you think they are actually improvements relative to Bitcoin. Then you need to lay out exactly how these 'improvements' will overcome Bitcoin's so-far unshakable network size advantage.

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

I've been convicted of heresy. Convicted by a mere known extortionist. Read my Trust for details.

Bitcoin would still prevail, like it or not. Though I understand the sentiment and the reasoning of the people who holds litecoin at day 1, for a newbie in the crypto world, directly investing into something without familiarizing with what's the most widely-used altcoin is dumb. Sure, sending and receiving is almost the same way in bitcoin and litecoin, but the thing is, there would be small room for uses with litecoin compared to bitcoin.

It's obvious you have to choose bitcoin, because bitcoin is the most popular cryptocoin also the most powerful, while litcoin is an imitation coins

Litecoin and bitcoin are two major cryptocurrencies finding stable place in financial world with strong reputation. Litecoin mostly depends on bitcoin for it's own growth. Whereas bitcoin is the leader.

yep sitting on 2500 ltc yet from mining ..hoping the btc devs will have  a nerd slap fest and get some kinda plan together ...as a result btc pops and ltc pops more in $$$ vs btc etc

would feel silly if suddenly LTC got some kind of increased credibility with coindesk or the above or something and creeped back up to 15 to 20 bucks as an alternative to say a

future btc price of 400 to 500 bucks (yeah odds are long) but since halving the ltc ratio of 0.01250 is more or less stable to btc so I can wait (and hope)Smiley

of course like all my plans with crypto i can on a 'whim' run away screaming like 9yr old girl who saw a rat.......we also serve crypto who panic and waiver (just saying) Smiley

ie of course this is me ..not interested in the price of LTC or BTC per say just looking at how much or how well a ratio I can get xfering the LTC to BTC so thus the ratio

above...for those who are trying to 'trade' this on the ups/downs etc well you are braver then myself ... Smiley (good to have goals) Smiley I am into the 'sideways' plan how much btc

can i eventually get for the LTC I mined and continue after halving modestly to do so ..ie when to pull the trigger and how much LTC to keep vs dump if when that scenario comes to pass Smiley

then miners are doorstops and I can just sit around on my btc hoard (and maybe small ltc hoard) and brood about price etc like the grumpy old man I am Smiley

never use bitcoin, since litecoin arrived.

besides faster confirmation(which create more orphan btw), what you're finding better in litecoin that bitcoin does not have? also litecoin is not well accepted as bitcoin, how can you use it directly?

There is none in my honest opinion. Ok, they have already included couple of fixes that Bitcoin devs didn't but this just because Litecoin is much smaller and risk associated with making the changes is not as big as it's in Bitcoin.

These changes would be possible to incorporate tomorrow if Bitcoin devs would want to and if they would find it absolutely necessary.

Yea but with Bitpay thats not an issue anymore. Yes in the future cryptocurrency should be sovereign, but currently merchants will just swap it to fiat with Bitpay.

But I do think that in terms of ROI you can make more money with litecoin as an investment,

Why you chose litecoin depend a bitcoin ? Cheesy
What advantages compared bitcoin litecoin so you choose litecoin ? Tongue

well for me the MINERS for LTC worked longer/better etc with diff rises etc for LTC to BTC (KNC Titan(s) 10 months likely will mine more then 1 year)

so from what I can tell if you (back in 2014 say) wanted to get btc by mining that was the way to do so

currently for what you can get a used scrpyt miner on ebay to home mine (0.01272 ltc to btc) is much less then getting say a bitmain S7 or some such

but then again neither above is really wise home mining is dead...but 2013-2014 etc that was the home miner strategy

also if ltc stays above the 0.0100 ratio to btc and goes up and down with btc price accordingly you can move LTC on the pumps to BTC in that ratio or the pump in btc prices

anyway LTC is big in china as a 'spectulator' coin in relation to BTC

others can chime in here with more expertise then myself ..just imho on this (and the fact I probably should not have gotten titan miners but it has worked out in 20/20)

my 2 satoshi's worth
