ill show you...

the last time the PoS reward changes is... static const int64_t BLOCK_HEIGHT_END_YEAR7 = 7358400; // year 7 end estimated block height

in the GetProofOfStakeReward the function defines...

else if (pindexBest->nHeight > BLOCK_HEIGHT_END_YEAR7){
        nSubsidy = nCoinAge * POS_REWARD_YEAR_STD / 365; //0.25%
    }

    if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation"))
        printf("GetProofOfStakeReward(): create=%s nCoinAge=%"PRId64"\n", FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nCoinAge);

    return nSubsidy + nFees;

meaning that for every block higher than block 7358400 will give a reward of nCoinAge * POS_REWARD_YEAR_STD / 365; //0.25%

even at block 10000000 it will still give this reward

your dev forgot to put the function

if the money supply is >= MAX_Money then the nSubsidy = 0;

which would cut off the minting at max money, but that code isnt in this coin. its also why 42 coin has 52 coins atm. dev forgot to put it in. ive done a lotttt of dev work for coins so i know that when people clone older or bad coins they forget to fix that part. and this coin looks nice. so i figured id point it out

Thank you for a tip. Wink
That means that in 10 years we maybe should do one more hardfork.

to be honest you can put it in at any time. and then it will just be there for future updates. just make sure you do it before the 10 years is up =p

Thank you.
Double check is always useful.

Update:

While BlockExplorers are down to make sure that you are on a correct chain do the following:

1. Type "getblockbynumber 594177" command in console (Help->Debug->Console)

2. Find line "proofhash":
{
"proofhash" : "00000000215b5309e034ccf4a4b4091a0d874d52980b5cc867c554f7e7c4e1a9"
}

3. Make sure your hash of block No594177 is the same.

not helpfull

still out of sync ,block number out of range when i type like above

That means you are still on wrong chain.

This explorer works fine now and shows correct information https://www.blockexperts.com/amber

To help those who are not on a main chain - here is fresh (some hours ago) correct blockchain:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/94hqeihkupmqjkn/BlockChain2711.rar?dl=0

P.S. Use "repairwallet" command after you synced.

still confused how to do it

twn said he lost the coin after upload the database,but he got the amber back to wallet

i'm worry how if i/we lost the coin because we don't know how to do it

hope this is the last time and never update wallet again in future,..this is make me like crazy ,..lol

Just download files.
Stop the wallet.
Copy files into your %appdata%\AmberCoin directory. Replace old ones.
Delete peers.dat.
Run the wallet.

During past few days while we were fixing the new wallet our offline dealers have sold ~500k AmberCoin!
We have already got paid for them.
But have not moved them to new shareholders yet just for security reasons (forks/unstable network operation).
We plan to send it tomorrow or next Monday.
And then we will update all the info (OP, site, GoogleDoc).

The one thing I can say for sure is that current round is #11 and price for today is $0.09.
176,677 Amber is still available.

P.S. We consider a possibility to buy some amount of sold shares on the market if price will stay as low as now.

That's great, nice work!

Personally I don't mind Amber Trade buying cheap shares back, but that opens the door for potential accusations of "withholding dividends to drive the price down so Amber Trade could buy it back cheaply".

To be clear, I don't see it that way at all, but I do see a risk of some individuals exploiting the opportunity to fling mud.  Just something to consider.

I don't mind either, but as I understand it, the money wasn't available to pay dividends, so how is money available to buy amber?   IF dividends (and other company obligations are met) there should be no objection to the company taking advantage of the market, as we all try to do.   So even if this isn't evil, the appearance of evil is there,  and we should avoid that to help retain the trust that is so hard to build up, and so easy to tear down.

Pay the dues first, and buy amber next, great idea!  Smiley

Me too Smiley but I have way more skin in the game, so I may seem biased lol.

AmberDev... My thoughts on buying cheap shares up. It would look bad to do this before paying dividends. What would be reasonable since there'd a rush to be the first one to be paid and buy the cheap ones... If y'all bought them up and divided them proportionally amongst those who wanted to buy amber with dividends, so all get an "equal" aka proportional shot at sub market price coins at whatever the average price was type ordeal. Man I feel commie for writing that.  Just my thoughts for making things seem like we were playing on equal fields here. End of the day free market do what you wanna etc...  but good PR is priceless.
Edit: this does not mean I think amber trade with their whatever % ownership doesn't have a right to buy whatever, % of cheap amber shares, cause I do. Proportional is proportional, under my suggestion. Again I feel dirty for my propaganda, sorry.

good guys! seriously, keep that mindset... and nothing bad about showing off as a side effect Wink ...and I'd personaly say the cost/gain ratio is unparalleled ...sometimes it needs so little effort to reach out a hand or give a heads-up, you rather do it as a sideline and yet, it might release someone else from deep deep trouble... and there's always is a time you get yourself the opportunity to experience how glad someone can be, when  guided through hard-hat shit you would have been in trouble if no one would have cared. it not just leaves a nice feeling, it's actually predictably a very probable win-win situation in the long run, considering the law of large numbers - and practical contributionism on behalf of humanity, of course  Grin

and on topic: cryptopia at last also set the wallet on maintenance mode... so, I guess, they should have weathered most of the network jiggle and - even if not too overpopulated at the moment - the visible nodes seem to be going along quite consistently and as I noticed, the client at ambercoin01.mooo.com showed up in the peerlist again.

...and btw: it makes a whole lot difference if the developer shows up and stays reasonable present in such rumbling situations, unlike what's happening to many other coins having the dev just goingt mia and never showing up again. so, obviously not a self evident practice, thus even more appeciated Cool

When the information about the date of dividends payout is available we will share it immediately.
But it has no relation to new shareholders.

Process of additional funds attracting is moving.
As well as a process of geological explorations.
And that's is good news.

Blockexplorer https://www.blockexperts.com/amber is ok.
Blockexplorer http://amber.explorer.ssdpool.com:9146/ gone about 2.5+ days through wrong chain.
( It is not official in AmberCoin web/homepages, so ignore, just for information. )

Is there a way to get payouts from your pool in Amber?  (Mine Amber directly.)

it get's a bit lost in the first moment but it's actually pointed out on the frontpage (just remembered that the yaamp software used to have this feature):

Quote from: zpool
...
Non-BTC payouts depend on that coin being mined as your BTC balance is traded internally by our system to your currency of choice. If we have not or are not mining that currency your payouts will be delayed until the pool has mined the blocks for you to get paid. If you notice in the pools status that the currency is red, it means there is not sufficient amount of the currency to pay miner(s). It's recommended to use BTC.
Use -p "c=SYMBOL" if zpool does not recognize the currency correctly.
See the "Pool Status" area on the right for PORT numbers. Algorithms without associated coins are disabled.

so, no direct port to mine amber, just x13 (or multi or selected algos)... but payout in amber... I'd susspect this to be even more efficient than mining directly...

btw nice work, the new zpool, will certainly take a ride in near future Smiley
xpool certainly belongs to the multipools (and zpool I suppose soon will) most dreaded by the profit searching solo miner Cheesy, as they both seem to be not only very well cared for but also thoroughly optimized and tuned for maximimum profit. however, stricly speaking I can only share this experience for xpool, 'cos zpool's quite too new, but I've got that certain notion...
should be another nice contributionl to ambercoin market capacity and demand
