This is a pretty cool tool from the block explorer:

Take the percentage of the coins that are staking and compare to the graph below to project what percent interest coins staked in the last 1000 blocks would expect if the network participation remains consistent over a period of 1 year.

Currently just over 20% of CBX in circulation is staking (last 1k blocks) so those who are staking now are earning at a projected yearly interest rate of around 10%!

Not too shabby for a 2% annual inflation in supply. Congrats and thanks to those staking to protect the network and earning for doing so!

Sometimes when I leave my CryptoBullion vault wallet to stake overnight it intermittently crashes. Why is this? Should I try to re-download the blockchain?

Checking your memory(RAM) usage for the client

Sometimes high physical memory usage can cause a client to crash while open for staking. This can be because you don't have enough physical memory (RAM) installed on your system, or because the client is using an increased amount to stake.
To check to see if the problem applies to your client, first make sure your client is closed, then press and hold Ctrl+Alt+Delete (on Windows) and open the Task Manager and select the processes tab.
Now open your client, but keep your wallet locked. Check to see if your memory usage for the client stays stable. It should be around 0.4 - 0.6 GB usage, but quite stable with no significant change.
Now to check to see if staking your coins is causing the problem, simply unlock your client and check the memory usage.
Staking coins is quite memory intensive so a rise will be expected. However over long periods of staking, usage can build up to a point which your system cannot handle and the client crashes.

Checking Your Addresses and Inputs

Sometimes a high number of staking addresses and 'inputs' can cause a massive increase in memory usage when staking.
To check your 'inputs' first you must enable coin control to access this information.
In your client click on 'Settings' then 'Options' and select 'Display'.
You now need to enable 'Display Bullion control features' then click 'apply' then 'ok'.

To view your inputs click on 'Send Bullion'. You will now have the extra Bullion control features options.
Click on 'Inputs' and you will see a list of your staking addresses. The easiest way to see your inputs is to select 'List mode'. You can also click the arrow to the left of each address in 'Tree mode' to see the inputs for each address.
These inputs within each address are the actual amounts that will individually compete for a proof of stake block on the network. So if you have a large list of inputs, these will all be trying to stake a block at the same time, and potentially using up quite a large chunk of your systems Physical memory.

Consolidating Inputs

Sometimes an easy fix for high memory usage is to consolidate your inputs into one larger input or a few significantly larger inputs. The easiest way to do this is to create a 'new address' within the 'Receive Bullion' tab, and simply send your full balance to it. 'Bear in mind that doing this will reset your coin age back to zero for 'every input' and you will have to wait another hour before being eligible for staking!'
If you are a little more skilled, and want to spend the time, you can check the boxes next to each input to send specific inputs to one of your addresses, this can be done to clean up any small or negligible amounts that probably wouldn't find a block anyway if left alone.

Be careful when sending funds to yourself, always double check that the address you are sending to is your own!!

Hi community i have received the promo cards, are really nice but i have two issues

1- When i read the qr it is a link to the google play cbx vault, i install it but  i dont have conections, i have tried five times it is not fixed

2-What must do the card users for claim the 10 bulls?

I'm interested to hear about this if you get it working.

My desktop pulls about 300 watts from the wall so I was looking to use an old laptop to stake, but unfortunately have been running into the memory usage issue that others have also been experiencing (awaiting any further fixes or work arounds for this) currently trying killiz' recommendation, and have ordered some more ram. I think I can get my power usage down to about 15 to 20 watts on this laptop, assuming that i can get the client stable and the cpu underclocked.

Raspberry Pi would of course be even better from a power usage perspective. I have one and I've played with it a bit but unfortunately linux confuses the hell out of me and I've never been able to set it up to do anything particularly useful before. If the Pi can stake well perhaps we could have an install image downloadable from the CBX website, for linux noobs like myself who want to stake 24/7 without spending a fortune on electric.

I believe there is an official ARM based (Raspberry Pi) wallet in the works, as you say if we really want people to stake 24/7 we need to make it as cost effective as possible and staking on a Raspberry PI (especially the v2) is a no brainer

Had a few issues half way through my compile with uPnP inclusion but think I have that fixed now... Just takes forever to build on my little PI, will post a tutorial again when I have a compiled binary

And overall inflationary rate remains at a steady 2% per year.

If you follow explaination in the doc for compiling on Linux it should work, nothing to change.
I had done an update to support ARM a few days ago in order to let people stake on a RPi. But i think a tutorial could be useful for newbie of course, if you need help to compile contact me

Anyway an image of less than 100 Mb will be realesed with the Vault. It will be design to be accessible through a web interface, so no UI interface on the OS of the RPi to reduce size, consumation and heat on it.
