Buying BitCrystals is like buying a fraction of the spells of Genesis. All game assed issued in spells of genesis are blockchain based and are purchasable with BitCrystals. From a gamer perspective since it's bitcoin blockchain based he can hold BTC BitCrystals and game asset on the same wallet. Success of BitCrystals is pegged on success of Spells of Genesis.
GameCredits are minable coin that use alternative blockchain (altcoin) their success is based on the success of this altchain over bitcoin.

yes all the unsold tokens will be burned as soon as they are sure of the exact total number of sold BCY. I think they are only making some small final adjustments now to make sure everyone got what they paid for.
