My prediction

24th of august 2015
1MZvjgQFQdAUUx5n6Prxw4oGuRycVmaZYR

cheers

So you're telling me i didn't win even tho i predicted the correct date?

No the bounty will be 1.3 btc, as mentioned earlier. We deduct the downtime.

lol It's not my fault they had downtime

The problem here is that Dadice hadn't mentioned that rule at first (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996260.msg11994350#msg11994350), but suddenly came up with it last week when it had extended downtime (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=973765.msg12183171#msg12183171).

It is always a bad idea to change the rules of an on-going campaign, as it will for sure cause confusion and controversy.

My point exactly.

I could understand reaching out and crediting user who won with their "modified" timeframe, but changing stance and terms of their own OP .. not as much

Maybe the user who won with their modified timeframe was one of their shills. This is obviously speculation however it would match up with their other highly unethical and sketchy behavior

I wouldn't go as far as that; it is just 0,1 btc. But i agree it is unethical to change terms mid game, with the dev making an error and not user. (referring to downtime)

stop judging like this , just act like there were no downtime
you can see that the person who rolled 750m took his full bounty without considering the down time days
so it's fair enough to give who predicted the correct date the bounty ( this costs Dadice more money BTW )

Hi,

Your statement is not valid in my opinion. If you disagree then you should have got in touch with Da Dice when he announced so. You can't simply wait for everything to be over and then come up with your argument.

The downtime was unexpected, and it is only fair that it be deducted from the downtime. Other way round, you are giving the full control of who wins to DD which might even beat the concept of provable fairness.

Da Dice or any other site always reserve the right to change their terms if changing the terms result in a more fair way of evaluating.
The participant who predicted 20th is the winner because downtime is not his fault. That is the correct argument.
And I'd personally argue that DD did the best possible thing by deducting the downtime, by upholding the fairness and integrity of the competition.

Just my opinion. Wink
Thanks

Dang! I just lost HUGE on Da Dice. Shouldn't have chased a loss. Second time making the mistake. Sad
I hope that you have verified your bets to make sure they were legitimately calculated to be actual losses.

edit: what is your DaDice username?

All our bets can be verified all the time -- you know that! Otherwise come and check it out Grin
If you (or someone) can give me ndnhc's DaDice account name then I will check out his bets

Working fine to me. There are other users online too. Smiley

I asume it's @wannaplaydadice
If that is his username then he had exceptionally bad luck. He lost everything almost as soon as he started playing. Without the betID's it is not possible to verify the bets though

I verified my bets. Smiley

I am sorry i didnt judged anyone ... if i am right i just explained what people are seeing and what its effect can be ..

that might have been a bit more direct than intended. I wasn't addressing you direct, I just think people should read about how trust came together before judging based on a number, no matter if its positive or negative.
i get what you mean to say there ,but what you said was pointing my post straightly so i just gave an explanation...
i know there are many bad and unworthy guys out there who are having large amount of+ trust.

Yeah, trust is not a reliable way of measuring trust or just about anything meaningful from my experience. Even default trusted accounts and obviously a lot of green trusted accounts are being sold around, so there is no way one could conclude anything meaningful here.

Your statement is not valid in my opinion. When sites fail like dadice did, they usually expand their original offer, but most certainly do not try to avoid payments.
I predicted to op correctly that was one month ago, and dadice failure to hold site online should not hurt me as an contestant.

Just like 20th is the correct in one hand, the 24th is maybe even more correct in another.

Can you imagine Stunna pulling something like this off with primedice? Not a chance.

Sorry to hear that. There are risks involved with gambling though as I'm sure you were aware. We've all had periods of both good & bad luck in our 'gambling careers'. Better luck next time buddy.

Had the downtime hadn't happened, 20th would be the winning date. The downtime was not supposed to happen. It is as simple as that.

If Da Dice had declared 24th a winner, that would be really unfair, in my opinion. And your point means Da Dice could wait a few months before going up, and deny everyone the entries? Come on, mate, it is not logical.
If you had genuine concerns you are to suggest it when OP made the announcement. I don't think anyone else would consider this unfair, in my opinion. It is the best possible decision someone can make.

This is one of the posts made on 20th August 2015, which makes anyone dead certain that 20th is really the winning date.

wow, site is online and autobet work, only 2 mln bet for 750 million.

I see 113 user online, but in chat or to site?
On site, but seems to have decreased down to 90 users now.
BTW 1.90 mill only to go now.

I had been around at the time, and I can confirm that it was around 748,000,000 at the time, and it would have hit 750m within the day in a matter of around 2 hours.

Stunna would do the same. Every responsible admin will try to make the contest fair for all.

Come on, mate, I know how you feel. But the decision he took is fair. Smiley

Im funny to see someone so desperate to win that 0.1 bitcoin. It has been said that the downtime will be deduct to ensure fairness. It has been said like since the first downtime and not something that is make up to cover the downtime also that the prediction is very way off if there is no downtime, very funny someone is angry because of this thing

No other reasons except because of his own prediction (24th August), so he hope he win the bounty prediction and blame the downtime without reading previous discussion about the time deduction.
I guess if he did not predict 24th August, he would not so angry.. Smiley

I am not sure how they can argue that downtime being deducted would be fair. There was no term in their contest that downtime would be deducted so it should be fair to expect that it would not be.

The fact that they control the speed of rolls mean that by slowing down or speeding up rolls just a little bit mean that it would be easy to manipulate who the winner is.
