Btw, does anyone know who this mystery angel investor is? Would be great to know. There's obviously a big difference between having an angel investor that's your mom versus having an angel investor that's Marc Andreesen. And if you don't know who that is, google it.

I don't know who the angel investor is. I did hear he spends most of the time on his yacht, so I doubt it is his mother. But you can try and ask John if you are that curious.

She, through self sacrifice, protects her son from the terminator so he can grow up and lead an army against Skynet. She keeps him alive so we as a human race can endure against the machines. Not sure what you'd call that dedication and determination, but I'd argue to say it is angelic.

She has pre-marital sex with future dwellers, smokes cigarettes, harbors lust for machines, and sows discord among her bretheren. Damn near demonic.

News 02/04John posted a timeline over at talk.vanillacoin.net ( http://talk.vanillacoin.net/topic/118/4-month-timeline) "The next four months will consist of the following in no particular order. - Finalise and push the CoinPP (Coin++) project source files.
- Continue improving multitier architecture.
- Continue working on performance.
- Integrate and deploy UDP layer.
- Deploy iOS Beta.
- Linux GUI Support.
- Android Support.
- FPGA mining support.
I will update these items as we move forward. Thank you for your support."

Of course I gave you bad advice. Good one is way out of your price range.

John is working now with the Spartan VI, the Mojo v3 board has it ( https://embeddedmicro.com/products/mojo-v3.html) together with an Arduino compatible bootloader.

Hello - I have never FPGA mined before. Will there be specific instructions on how to do this? I have only GPU and ASIC mined. Is it anything like that? Please advise. -pokeytex

The hash on a board would be around 50MH/s with minimal watt usage, so it would mean that you save heavily on the electricity costs. Meanwhile you can jump on IRC and throw in some questions.

XC6SLX9 has 1430 slices with 4 LUT6 on each. Sure it can fit at least one fully unrolled core, expect ~200 MH/s.

I still have some old ztex boards, quad boards, maybe those fpgas can be used too?

You need specialized bitstream. There are some bright FPGA developers in Blakecoin thread, also eldentyrell did an excellent implementation of Bitcoin miner.
