Confirmation satoshis!!
+1! Has it ever been discussed about making an AM announcement thread that's locked so that friedcat can just post the announcements there and keep all the pleeb talk in a seperate thread? At this rate, I think it would be better for friedcat to make another thread for the actual announcements. This particular thread is starting to turn to AM general talk. that's kind of what I meant. On the one hand, I appreciate seeing the satoshi comments, but on the other, it gets old to have a bunch of people say +1 to it or "I got mine too" or whatever. I'm not trying to single you out, I'm guilty of it too to a degree. Then I could setup the email notifications on the VIP thread and just the watch on the other. this one.

Well, people can't really say 'First!' on a thread over 200 pages so it's now 'Satoshis!' I think it's part of the fun (especially for first time share owners) but I do also see how it could get old. I'm sure people could adjust if majority spoke against it.

I think your best bet is to just use the last posts of friedcat (go to his profile, click "lasts posts of this member" or something similar) for information, and this thread for light entertainment.

This is my 2nd week as an AM share owner. :-) Do the satoshis come every week? Why? I figured they were a means of accounting for share ownership/transfers and therefore would only happen whenever a transfer was executed, not every week...

They occur every week, almost like a "notification" of incoming dividends. Those satoshis add up you know... After 100 million weeks of dividends, that's a free BTC per share!

Welcome on the boat! Yes, they do when the divs are coming out. It's just to confirm the amount of shares you hold. (so that you know if you wasn't credited with the appropriate amount of shares)

I would be in favor of a separate thread for AM chatter. That said, I got the satoshis too, and the delay in the dividend may be due to too much bitcoin to count?

2,000 Bitcoins have been reserved for the re-investment:
1. Deposits for the long-term pre-order of hard-to-get ICs. 2. Costs of mass production of Block Erupter USB sticks.

The projected rising to 15TH/s by tomorrow night is still on track. The samples of the USB sticks are being tested.

The usb sticks are going to be a huge success, but we desperately need something better than bidding in the auction forum here to sell them; the last couple minutes of the last auction were a bit crazy, and many bidders got blocked out with the last second frenzy by the anti-spam settings for the forum.
Problem is, how to set this all up on a solid auction forum? We can at least have some vetting on the bidders to some extent when they take place on this forum, but as the volume of the auctions ramps up, I fear this will become an unmanageable mess.

So 2941.66 BTC were paid out as dividend and 2000 BTC are kept for ICs. That must be really hard to get ones when they are $236000. And the dividend would have been 2/3 higher if that didnt happen. Good news for next week i guess. I would vote for an 5 min extension of the auction lifetime after the last bid was placed. That should help in the last minutes to solve many problems. And in auction start thread the user are guided to go into forum user settings and auto detect their timezone + setting their like in regards to 12/24 hours view. So that everyone can see the timecode of the last bid and can calculate 5 mins on top to ensure when the auction ends now.

I am suggesting that the auction be extended by 1 minutes per bid. Probably the use of PM'ed secret bids might work too. Holding the auction here has the advantage of being transparent and publicly known. I've had a ton of newbies PM'ing on this. (and bidding later)
