Xposting for all BitFunder people:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201166.0

Transactions to and from WeExchange don't work for several hours. No response, no information.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I just have to ask one question, is it still costing ASICMiner 10k USD to add 1Th/s?  that means each of them would need to be 1,000,000mh/s/10750mh/s = 93 Blades, 10,000USD /93blades = 107$ a piece

Yeah, that would work if you could slice costs in blades like that.

Also, cost is not price. ASICMiner would be absolutely retarded to sell something for 100$ when people are willing to pay 50 times that at great demand.

Its like with apple... the production doesnt cost much, but because there are enough people that love apple and want to pay much for it... why selling for lower...

Maybe this is a noob question, but why there is a 242-pages thread about ASICMINER, instead of a dedicated sub-forum?

Markup of 5500% would even make Apple blush. It's like BFL being able to make a Jalapeno for $4.98.

Because the vast majority of it is gossip and backslapping.

But even gossip would benefit from having specific threads for every piece of news that may sparkle discussions...

In that case you might also want to look at the speculation and alt-currency boards.

BTW, why do you have a photo of me as your avatar?

Edit: I was wrong, it was late and I was stupid, so instead: BTW, have you been my doppelganger?

But it would be a good thing to have a whole forum dedicated to asicminer. Noobquestions can get their own thread, discussions are more often done in own threads and friedcat maybe gets his real announcement thread...

No, that was my cousin's wedding in 2009.

No, it wasn't. It looks a lot like it though. Almost as if you attempted to recreate it in tableau. Hmmmm Smiley

Exactly. People who want ASICMINER to sell products for below market value don't quite "get" business.

I will definitely credit you for the charts. They're great!

I'm setting up a site dedicated to information on ASICMINER, and I'd like to embed the live charts on the site. I think you may need to change your sharing preferences for me to be able to do this, but I'm not sure.

Hey SmiGuel,

I've mentioned your name whenever I've linked the charts.  Wink

Out of interest, last week you said the predicted dividends graph was wrong because it based its estimate on 0 to 7 days before the dividend announcement, when it should have been 1 to 8 days before. Which way does the current divs graph represent this?

Thanks.

Oh I fixed that within a few hours, it's in this edit.
So it's now showing the dividends based on 192 till 24 hour before the probe point Smiley
Of course the graph is ONLY based on 90% of the mining income, so selling 50 or 100 Block Eruptors this week will add about ~0.005BTC or ~0.010BTC to the divs Wink
