is it just me or does anyone else have a problem viewing those in chrome? Chrome on OSX works fine. Broken on Chrome for me, Win 7. Chrome on Android is OK. |

All work fine for me on chrome Version 27.0.1453.110 m Maybe it will bug out if I relaunch and update though Seems to be an error not a troubleshooting thread but might help if everyone knows chrome isn't working for ASIC data for some users Similar bug to this crash and others I presume https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/3albbtoYh9Y Edit bugged too |

They periodically have problems on both chrome and firefox. I generally wait a few minutes a refresh and they are fixed. |

Hello everyone, I have a few questions about ASICMINER shares history (I have not enough time to read all the pages in this thread, so I hope that somebody who remembers it will answer). 1) When ASICMINER started to offer the shares? The first post is from 2012-08-09, but there is something about "earlier investors". 2) When the price started to rise from 0.1? 3) What were the factors that moved the price up? 4) When was the initial 0.1 gained back in dividends? 5) Anything interesting/important happened with ASICMINER before March 2013? I can see chart of BTC-TC passtrough history since March 2013 ( http://coinflow.co/chart/ASICMINER-PT ), so I'm interested in the price development before that. Thanks for answers. "Early investors" are simply the people who hold the shares now. The price moved up because they successfully developed ASIC chips that mines. This pretty much happens with every mining company when they get hardware, as the risk that they would never have got hardware evaporated. The initial 0.1 was gained back in dividends in a month or so? |

that just proves that they had shares at the last dividend. Doesn't show the current status. I don't know why all the hate on this. The guy should have PMed or email FC, but this is FCs job, and we didn't make it for him, he chooses to do it this way. If he is too busy to be messing with this kind of stuff, he needs to figure out a better system that doesn't require so much hands-on work. |

I should probably know this, but can you explain what this means and how it's done? ASICMiner dividend payments are public, since you can view them on the blockchain. So once you're certain that someone owns a bitcoin address that has received ASICMiner div's, you know that person owns the shares. Using Bitcoin-QT (or other clients), you can take a message such as "I, username, control the address 1AddressBlaBlaBla" and sign it using your private key. Anyone can then take the message and the public address and verify (again using Bitcoin-QT or another client) that the signature is correct. So a person can prove that he owns a BTC address this way. The caveat is that someone can sell (or trade away) his ASICMiner shares and then offer them up for sale again. He can show that he owns the BTC address that received last weeks dividend, but the shares have since been transferred. The window of opportunity for this is 1 week (until the next dividend payment), but there is room for scammers using this method. Which is why it's safest to have Friedcat confirm share ownership. |
