Somebody was invited to visit the AM mining datacenter & assembly factory.

Look at this: http://www.hxtop.com/html/bt03/201310242750.html

These must be the next gen USB Block Erupters:

They're more square than rectangular and wider as well.

I hope you're joking.. lol.  The picture is stretched

Yes I noticed that after seeing the other pics. I removed it then.

Anyways, I thought that no more gen 1 Block Erupters would be made. So these must be gen 2!

One of our group members in Chinese community had an interview with Friedcat today. Above is the brief introduction of what Friedcat has done and planned to be accomplished in the next months.
To be short:
1. 1000T would be released around Nov 7th. These chips may be sold or deployed, depending on the situation then.
2. 2nd Gen chips have already been developed long time ago. But they were delayed to deploy considering the unsatisfactory performance.
3. 3rd Gen chips were also under development during that period. It is already developed now but still under test. It is expected to become a mature product in Feb 2014, which means its key indicators would be much better than those of its competitors. It is estimated that the network hashing power would be 1000p then, while Friedcat would deliver several hundred of it.

If confirmed, 1 PH/s deployment would net 25% of the network. If sold, 1 PH/s would equate to 100k 10 GH/s blades. Developing...

Question for board members (or anyone really), is there an expectation that information like this in this interview be only released via friedcat on bitcointalk forums? Maybe there is no such expectation and that is fine. I'm just curious.

The interviewer is one of our members in the Chinese community. She is not one of AM's board members but she does hold some AM shares. She has been planning to have an interview with Friedcat and finally she made it. We the Chinese Bitcoiners have known her for a long time and she's built her credibility with her interviewing more than 15 people in this community.
I post this video and translation in this thread, assuming that since she already post it on Weibo, a twitter-like service in China, that should become some public information and Friedcat's consent must have been gained to release it.

What I know is Friedcat refused to have a video interview. A written version of the content will be released soon in Chinese. Let's wait for it.

Shouldn't Friedcat be the one to release this info first?  It doesn't seem fair that he would tell this girl first, unless they were banging or something

Unsatisfactory performance perhaps. But surely it must have outperformed Gen1?

Assuming these chips cost about the same to produce after initial development costs why not push them out regardless? Any mining hardware improvement is welcome at this stage.

1000T是已出售算力总共加起来,应该10月7日600T-800T吧,只是一个简单的采访,没什么大惊小怪的。

If the share price spikes the day after I sell it all after holding for months, I'm gonna..I'm gonna....  I'm not sure what I'll do. Guess I'll cry or laugh or some sort of combination.
