Is FC really moving Bitcoin Cash funds around? Do we know it's him or did other people from AM/Bitfountain have access to the mining and/or selling funds, as well?
We all want to know it and hopefully sometimes we know it perhaps as leastwise a affective reimbursement for our big lost....

Good old 蒋信予, Jiang Xinyu. He will be turning 31 this September 14th from what I understand. I have been working on tracking down the cat, he can't disappear forever.
Since it seems that he owns a decent stash the stockholders could try to organize to recover something. As an owner of 200 shares on Havelock I would happily pay 50% of whatever is recovered in my name to whoever does the job. Count me in. +1 Maybe a bounty/reward program for information ?

I had a ton of shares back in the day. I was almost "all in" with this program. the weekly dividends was just too addictive and was a major gateway drug.

Also would like to know what happened. The rumors were just crazy. While his relatives would have to need to know what happened. And a clever private investigator really should have been able to find traces. Well, back in the days everyone was just like "not throwing good money after bad money". It was magic internet money... some kind of play money. Might be some investors might redecide now. Friedcat might have not been the type of guy to cash out so easily.

I don't even know why Havelock is still online, this was basically the only thing that brought them volume, lol. Anyway that's why you trade bitcoins if you want to make money and not shitty semi-stocks.

I've seen this on reddit, https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/83d9y9/im_freaking_the_fuck_out_wtf_is_this/it is on a domain which was related to ASICMINER earlier (but maybe the website was run by a shareholder?) asicminer.co Someone knows more about this? I still own 100 direct shares, so would be good to know what's going on -_- Edit: BTW I think most likely someone grabbed the domain and the linked website is a SCAM so please don't preorder anything lol.

You know, I have offered to review miners for companies, I would not touch this with a 10 foot pole.

Interesting. Not sure what I see. If it's a scam then they put some investment into it for sure. Well, if they know what they do it is an easy turnaround then. If it's not a scam (do the numbers match?) then they might be ex asicminer employees, however the stature of at least the last guy does not look asian, no offence, so not sure what this is. I won't invest in any mining anymore. Took the time to check numbers here: https://jblevins.org/btcmpc/ I think it might not be a scam at all. Numbers aren't as good at all. In fact one will lose money even when the miner would run instantly now. If I didn't enter something wrongly. Just investing in coins or if needed, staking, is way better, easier und faster to achieve.

Has anyone successfully written off their losses from ASICMINER investments on their taxes as a theft for a deduction? (USA) If so, how difficult was this to prove? The tax year is still amendable.

Why should one take actions against asics? When someone will attack the network with 51% then he will do. When he starts to mine normally why block him? Only because he possibly could harm the network? If so then it would be wiser to attack the network before someone could do something against it. So all this doesnt make sense to me.

Old Story, ASICMINER was a company where the owner disappeared leaving investors down..... nothing to do with asic mining technology in general.....

Interesting article on the state of ASIC mining today: https://blog.sia.tech/the-state-of-cryptocurrency-mining-538004a37f9bFTA: When we started Obelisk, we had numerous separate sources reach out and warn us that Bitmain plays dirty, and that if we try to manufacture in China, we will be stopped.
Wonder if Bitmain had a hand in the demise of Asicminer. Their designs were very similar. So I wonder how these 2 companies intersected at the time.
