Your only point appears to be "gloom and doom" - so people don't sell mining equipment on eBay, I'm so shattered by this news ..... all industries mature and just have a few big players. That's just what happens. Deal with it.
My point is that the industry is killing itself. I think you underestimate the importance of the hardware aftermarket - altcoins generally aren't worth squat, look at how people flocked to PeerCoin and upped the diff there astronomically when it "caught on". Same happens to any sha-based coin that hits exchanges in any form. So for any reasonable ROI on most hardware you need the aftermarket. Right now, folks are pushing towards things that can't really catch-on in the aftermarket, like a Neptune or an AMC. Those are investments, big ones, for a market that is continually gouging itself from every direction. "all industries mature and just have a few big players. That's just what happens. Deal with it." We're figuring out how to "deal with it". Right now the community has responded with- Shares in someone else's hardware => not worthwhile. Shares in AM => so far, not worthwhile. Anything shipping in auctions/group buys => not worth the BTC you spend. What's left are the big players. They're going big, very big, f' the community big. Most of the people are currently invested in BTC will likely leave because you can't afford new hardware and nothing is worth the BTC you'd spend on it for partial ownership. And any industry needs the peons, needs the folks who buy usb sticks on eBay, needs the customers. Right now we're hoping that our current "doom and gloom" outlook is wrong, but none of the "big players" are doing anything to encourage a healthy future for this side of BTC. What would you like the big players to do to help the situation?

Google opened 2 new data centers, one in Singapore and one in Taiwan http://googleasiapacific.blogspot.in/2013/12/our-first-data-centers-in-asia-are-up.htmlThe one in Taiwan is using water-cooling with a twist: "We built this to be one of Asia’s most efficient and environmentally friendly data centers. One way we’re increasing efficiency here that’s unique among our global fleet of data centers is through the use of a nighttime cooling and thermal energy storage system. The system works by cooling water at night, when temperatures are cooler, storing the cooled water in large insulated tanks where it retains its temperature before being pumped throughout the facility to cool our servers during the day." Friedcat, I think Google is saying: "bring it on". Will you accept the challenge?

ASICMINER shares have the privilege of getting all net profits till 0.1BTC/share from the day when dividends began to be paid.
I don't get this part. Does it mean that once 0.1BTC dividends per share have been given, there won't be more dividends?

I don't get this part. Does it mean that once 0.1BTC dividends per share have been given, there won't be more dividends? That formulation means that after 0.1BTC has been paid in dividends, Bitfountain (major shareholder of Asicminer) will also get it's portion of dividends. Until 0.1 all dividends (100%) have been paid to minor shareholders only. Anyhow, it doesn't matter anymore, dividends reached 0.6BTC already.

Where do I buy ASICMINER shares now?
Havelock.com is good because: a) you can buy shares when you want, not when auctions are running b) you get the shares immediately, at a fixed price. c) You can buy partial shares, the AM100 version. Direct shares are never sold like that. d) You can convert AM1 shares to direct AM shares any time. e) You know you aren't being scammed, there have been a few "dodgy" share auctions. Was going to list why auctions are good, but I'll leave that to someone that prefers auctions to buying at havelock

Havelock is just dead right now, and price seems to be drifting higher regardless of dividend shrinkage.

Right time of year for hibernation at least.

And there I was thinking share prices were going to drop considerably with the last two dividends but still holding strong I'm not quite sure "strong" is the right word considering we were once at B5.00, but I know what you mean. It could just mean the equilibrium has reached i.e. the one-week brigade has been flushed out, and all we are left with are the "hopeful people", and people that have lost too much already on AM shares to consider selling for such a big loss. Its statis baby

And there I was thinking share prices were going to drop considerably with the last two dividends but still holding strong I think the uptrend surprised a lot of people. That buying pressure shows that a lot of us had the same idea ie: buy it while it's on sale. I expected to see 0.20 before we were through, maybe we still will. I can always use more

I can always use more The uptrend has been for 1 week, and tiny. When direct shares were offered last week at 0.27 nobody took. Let's see what happens if the divs really dive. I can't see how AM can keep anywhere near the current divs for 3 months if they aren't bringing anything new to the table. If divs halve, its got to drive the price down further. If it doesn't, yep I'll agree, the bottom has been reached.
