Tapeout in a few days Finished chips in march. Just a quick explanation: Taped outRefers to the completion of the design of a chip. The next stage is to put it into production. The term comes from the early days when designs were transferred to the fabricator via magnetic tape.So all the specifications you get from FC about the chip rightnow comes from simulations. There's actually still no physical chip produced so there's still a lot of things that can go wrong or be delayed. It's not until the real chip can be benchmarked that we will know for real. I would advice to be a bit cautious before buying into stocks at the current high prices.

Oh dear. It's there, yet not in the wallet. My precious unconfirmed dividend anyone a clue why it takes so long to confirm? has this happened any time before? Simple. The transaction included 0.0001 in fees but the transaction size is 1481 bytes, which means not enough fees for the transaction size so it is waiting to be confirmed by a miner that accepts less than the normal minimum fees. Check it out on blockchain.info, click the transaction ID and look around, you'll see it is in a queue.

The naysayers are back. I kind of missed you! Sure, retain a certain amount of caution. Always! But I think after these news you should apply a bit more of Occam's Razor!

Now, let's piece together the information that we have and do a little light-weight analysis:
The first production run is expected to be from 2-20 PH, cost is $0.20/GH and price is $0.49-$0.99/GH. So the profit from this batch should be in the range of $580,000 and $15,800,000. At $900/XBT, that makes between XBT 644 and XBT 17,555. Counting 400k shares, the batch should then produce a profit of XBT 0.00161 and XBT 0.0438875 per share -- before subtracting R&D and operational costs.
Does that calculation look more or less sensible to you guys?

I have to laugh at how easily people talk about producing, selling or deploying up to 20 PH. That's more than ENTIRE current global hash-rate.

AM seems to have used their vast cash reserves to become the first user of this new, highly efficient immersion cooling system. Combined with AM's new Gen3 chips, they'll have an extremely efficient bitcoin mining operation from the chips all the way to large scale cooling.

yes thx i get that, but is THIS immersion cooled data center (which seems to be located in hong kong) actually one of AM with Gen1 chips running in? IIRC from what I read in this thread, this is for the upcoming chips only. Strange that in the video it looks like there are boards running. I could be wrong.

yes thx i get that, but is THIS immersion cooled data center (which seems to be located in hong kong) actually one of AM with Gen1 chips running in? IIRC from what I read in this thread, this is for the upcoming chips only. Strange that in the video it looks like there are boards running. I could be wrong. thats exaclty my concern, i cant find any confirmation on what exactly is running in these containers and who owns them (there is also lots of pictures of that same container yet no one said to whom their belong nor what was inside)
