Just a warning - I've just had my havelock account hacked and all my AM1 shares stolen, and money withdrawn from account.

I had both 2FA enabled, and login from my own country, Thailand. The thief managed to bypass both of those somehow.

Sorry to rehash this topic here in this thread, but I saw this write-up today that might offer some explanation?

https://www.imperialviolet.org/2014/02/22/applebug.html

Article says current OSX Mavericks 10.9.1 is vulnerable with no fix in sight.

Could this explain how some clever individual (who isn't your gf or dog) with a privileged network position in Thailand managed to swipe your Havelock password, 2FA, and btc?

so im no hacker but you are actually telling me that people using Maverick can get hacked because of a flaw in it? ://// should we install another OS??

sweet. that's a serious man in the middle bug.

There is some protection against it, which e.g. is buying a VPN connection (which removes some of the man in the middle attack vectors). But it shows that even a perceived secure system can be flawed, which highlights the importance of non-computational security measures (i.e procedural security).

Damn, I just had a dream that i got notification alert from friedcat, that he wrote something on forum. I was very excited and it was :

"over, ..." something about tape out failed, going out of business ... and share prices dump to zero... damn ! it was fucked up feeling Undecided

Anyway ... i hope ... we should be after tapeout now and we should get update from him or board this week(before March) iirc.

I apologize for a stupid question, but are there other places where I can buy stocks of ASICMINER than Havelock Investments? And if not, do I get dividends to my personal BTC address or do I get them to my Havelock Investments account?

You can look for auctions in the Marketplace/Auctions section on this forum. If you buy on Havelock, the dividends will be deposited into your account, which you can then withdraw to a personal wallet.

1) just on Havelock or direct shares contacting shareholders. Basically on forums in the auction threads or contacting them personally
2) on your Havelock account, but you can withdraw to your personal offline wallet at any time at no cost
