iirc gen3 datacenter will be 1ph once filled with new chips. 3 blocks is nothing compared to what it will be with 1ph.

Is there really only going to be one data center with a total of 1PH?  I thought we had a 10% network capacity target?  I think you may be confusing friedcat's interview where he expected to have 1ph online by the end of 2013 with Gen2 that fizzled.  Even that quote had some contention as there was confusion on the translation...

I would expect much more than 1ph out of Gen3.  I've not been following this security for a while so please, correct me if I'm wrong.

It'll be 1PH per shipping container. I doubt they'll stop at one. It means they can partner with franchisees who will take care of physically locating the container, feeding in power and internet access, as well as taking care of operations and maintenance.

"Any event can have an infinity of possible causes." -- Pierre-Daniel Huet
This quote comes close to the truth,

but instead, I offer my own...

"Every event has an infinity of causes and ultimately,
in the unrelenting expanse of time, an infinity of results.
This is the fundamental truth of all reality."

Getting close to March, crossing my fingers for an announcement.

No doubt it has been asked before, but would the hashrate of the initial/'benchmarking' gen3 chips even be noticeable?
(by this I mean the sample chips that Friedcat and his team first get back from the factory to test)

How come recent blocks here shows 1 block: http://erpao.info/blocks

But there are actually 3 recent blocks mined?  Does erpao just show the last 1 block?

Just to add guys our speculation is also based on the fact that FC takes the saying "Underpromise and overdeliever" too far most of the time.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

I believe, that now is the tipping point for AM. Sales will begin soon, maybe we will see also mining improvements and later divs increasing in a abrupt manner .

Although I've sold some shares I still have the majority of the shares I bought at IPO, let's see what you can do friedcat! Either way this investment has been really fun for me, I don't think friedcat's team gets enough congratulations for all the work they've already done. Last year was fantastic. Obviously Butterfly Labs and Avalon are a completely different ballpark from companies like Cointerra, but at the time everyone was convinced asicminer was a long-shot. Seeing a lot of parallels between now and then.

Hope you don't mind the pump! And thanks for the hard work friedcat.

Assuming the blocks rewards will be given as divs, You know how ASICMINER do not like to spike the price like this, They might decide to give us back the btc a drip at a time.

Block rewards have always been given as divs.

And 3 blocks a day will be nothing compared to when gen3 is deployed. I would estimate 10 blocks per day average. Wouldn't be surprised if we saw a 30 block day.

I just got word that the next announcement is now expected to be given 'after the first week of March' and that 'everything is still on track'.
So don't hold your breath for an announcement today or tomorrow, but I feel that said announcement will be the publication of the final specifications and the details on how to order gen3 chips.

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...
