"ASICminers just announced on FB that no one is buying their miners so they are going to just plug them all in and start mining instead of trying to sell them... They have roughly 60PH/s in power (reportedly)."

That's amazing. I hope they go forward with that.

The Facebook page is a Facebook "fan" page, not an officially run page.

Lots of misinformation on that reddit thread...
Yeah I finally read through it all.  One guy actually referred people here for information! Smiley  It's strange how none of the large bitcoin miner manufacturers are releasing any information.  In fact it is strangely quiet.

Well with the fanpage links to its sources so pretty much all stuff we know from Friedcat announcements and supplier posts
Hopes that 10% is AM and heh I guess technically this thread is the official AM website lol.

I guess that's a somewhat simple way to put it. Basically it's true, although they didn't have 'miners' for a total of 60 PH/s, but merely chips that can be used to produce those miners. But effectively it is said that they're doing. Also we don't know how much of those 60 PH/s has been sold, also we don't know whether or not they maybe even made additional chips!

Wow 0.215 btc a piece?
Do I understand correctly that the ASICMiner Tube gets you 6 times as many gigahashes per dollar as the SP30 Yukon?
Power consumption is about 30% higher for the Tube though.

Very Good! Things are moving ahead it seems! Good to see AM back in the miner-selling game. But I think their number 1 revenue stream will now be self mining. I wonder when we'll see a hash rate meter about that!

if the extreme hashrate increase that we are seeing right now is AM (at least partially) then it means we're back in the game!

40pcs and everything to make 10 full miners (4pcs per miner) gives you 8.25TH for 10.4BTC plus shipping and a LOT of your own assembly time.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Havelock already reacting positively to this announcement, but I guess that won't last that long. It's just another minor good thing. What we need is major hashrate being deployed now!

Canary, are you going to be re-selling these?  Or anyone else that will allow someone to buy one unit?  I said before I want one of these just because they look cool, and that is still true!

I spoke too soon! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735982.0

I don't see any movement. The problem still revolves around am missing gh/w targets. Very hard to recover until next gen.

One way or another, that will be gone in seconds on dividends announcement.
What is the total share count on 796?  I think Havelock is still in the 28k range.

I guess it's time to buy shares. Sales have restarted and there are hardly any new sell orders in the last few days. Weak hands out?

I believe so. There is not a tremendous amount of shares available to the public, and within that there is a subset held by board members who aren't likely to be going anywhere at this point. That leaves a relatively small amount of shares for inexperienced shareholders to get in over their heads with. The panic sells are over, strong hands wont be letting a new investor in to buy up their shares this cheap on the eve of dividends.
