I don't understand the reasoning behind reducing the supply by 50 percent, especially now, while the crowdfund is still running with a fixed price of 33k. Does Synereo even have success with the crowdfund or the team is just buying the coins at 33k, which represents a 50 percent discount now ? After the end of the crowdfund the price should double immediately given the new conditions. My head is exploding, i don't understand this.

I believe the pre-sale went well, but the official crowdsale hasn't started yet. Their reasoning makes sense, though: the premine supply was huge, leading some critics to speculate (quite publicly) that Synereo would periodically dilute the supply forever into the future. While burning the coins doesn't necessarily mean the price should double, because those coins were not being traded on the free market, the price should definitely trend upwards. The upswing appears to have stopped at the floor of the crowdsale (which makes sense, because I would have sold if it went above 35K just to buy back again) |

During the next 48 hours the price tends to stay at the 28 a 30k range, as that's the follow-on price (considering discounts and the 1 million amp prize. Anything above this price crrates an arbitration opportunity that the market would correct shortly.
