You never have a guarantee that the account hasn't been hijacked, the previous address can only be used as proof that it has been hijacked after the fact. If the owner does not retain the keys to that address or fails to sign a message alerting of a hijack, then it will go unproven or unnoticed.

You must have some old addy that you can use to prove you're still the same person, right? It doesn't hurt to be thorough when it comes to staking addresses.

No keys were lost...as I explained to him on the post before this one...these wallets have not been deleted....just reset the trezors and started afresh...i have many seeds stored from past wallets...just don't know which ones are for these....so wanted to start with one dedicated just for sigs.
