4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are giving too much importance to exchanges on: July 05, 2023, 06:58:49 AM
I don't really trust exchanges so I don't hold my crypto these, but you can't deny that exchanges is a great thing for newbies that want to invest in crypto.

I think exchanges play a huge role in the adoption and promotion of crypto. Who is working with the government to legalize crypto trading? Exchanges. Who is working with Lugano and El Salvador to adopt crypto? Exchanges.

So I think they play an important role in the crypto game and every person should decide for himself if he should take the risk and hold money on an exchange.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sold the altcoins and invested in Bitcoin" on: July 05, 2023, 06:50:57 AM
Good for you!
But I never understood "bitcoin only people". We are still buying Bitcoin to make money, not for the idea, so I think in these terms you can also make money with alts is sometimes even more.

I think it's important to do research before buying any alt to secure your money from the LUNA situation. But in general, I think it's nothing wrong with buying/holding alts with Bitcoin.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you think Bitcoin will rise to in the next round of bull market? on: June 29, 2023, 06:48:07 AM
It's hard to say. I think it will go up like 5k at a time so we probably gonna see 35, then 40, 45, and so on. But it will start moving like this only when the economy will get better. Until then it will probably fluctuate back and forth and probably even go lower than 25k.

But it's all just speculation and it doesn't really matter. You just need to buy bitcoin NOW and you will see 100k eventually.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does a whale sell its huge amount of bitcoins and change them into fiats? on: June 28, 2023, 09:51:48 AM
I think nowadays whales might use stables like USDT to sell Bitcoin relatively quickly and then withdraw USDT relatively easily. They also can just hold stables for some time to buy Bitcoin back if needed.

So, for me, it looks like they will likely use stables then look for the customers that want to buy a whole bitcoin or more for the USD
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you, or would you ever use a Bitcoin ATM? on: June 28, 2023, 09:48:37 AM
No, because I know how to buy bitcoin and don't want to pay a fee for that.

But I think Bitcoin ATMs are a good thing because they rise Bitcoin awareness and help people who don't want to buy bitcoin fast using cash to do it. I think any idea that will popularise is a great thing.

Now you literally can buy it on the street lol. Looks like mass adoption people were talking about for years.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin whale 'awakens' after 10 years. on: June 27, 2023, 08:38:41 AM
I hope this guy won't start selling it right now haha.

We already have a pretty big pressure on the bitcoin and the crypto market so it will send everything to hell pretty quickly.

But I think people like him will probably wait for bitcoin to go to 100k and beyond before selling even one coin.
We are talking about Bitcoin here, few whales have sold big numbers of Bitcoin in the past and we don't even noticed, there are more whales that will buy up these thousand pieces of Bitcoin in days, believe that, it has happened before and it will keep happening in future, so, brother whale, if you are listening to this, proceed and sell your Bitcoin, i will keep buying what I can afford and I will one day end up with good numbers of Bitcoin.

The same whales can't keep topping the chart of biggest holders for life, when the time is right there will be new readjustment among the biggest holders, it's nothing alarming.

If he will sell  $37.8 million of bitcoins we WILL feel it. Bitcoin will go down because it's a huge sum. And considering that people are also will start selling Bitcoin as it goes down because of the panic, Bitcoin can go pretty low because of the whales. It's not happening all the time, but sometimes the market has a pretty strong reaction.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Become Currency of Nations in 10-15 Years on: June 27, 2023, 08:35:32 AM
No, unfortunately, it's not.

There is no reason for Bitcoin to become a real currency. It was created for that, yes, but it doesn't have any quality currency needed to possess.

Bitcoin is not stable, and won't be. The currency that is highly volatile won't be used by people if there will be a more stable alternative, even USD with 5% inflation. It's still better than the 5% inflation per day that Bitcoin can randomly show.

Also, the government won't allow it. People are not treating Bitcoin as money, but as an asset, so the government can regulate Bitcoin as an asset, not as a currency, and people still would be happy with that.

So I don't see any reasons why and how Bitcoin will become money.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: June 27, 2023, 08:25:37 AM
Everyone will be buying bitcoin at that price. Bitcoin is still bitcoin and it can go even higher so these is no point to stop buying it at a high price.

People who DCA do it all the time because they keep buying Bitcoin despite the price.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: June 24, 2023, 01:49:41 AM
Brah.

Like people in poor countries have a choice. How can you ask it living in a country with countless opportunities to get rich or at least live a decent life even if you work in a Macdonald's (considering you live in the US)?

Read this book if you want to know more: Poor Economics: A Radical Rethinking of the Way to Fight Global Poverty (2011), but basically when you don't have a good economy and government in your country, you just getting in a 'poor' trap and don't really have a choice but to work on a low wage job (considering you will even find a job because in a lot of countries like South Africa unemployment is around 50%).

And I'm not even talking about good education because people in poor countries simply start working from a young age and miss school (if they even have one) just to earn enough money for food. Interesting fact, when a child works on a physically hard job from a young age, his brain and body tend to get worse because he is still underdeveloped. Add lacking of food and sleep as well and you will get a perfect picture of why these people are poor.

Poverty is not a choice, it's how life works for these people.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on The Island of Bali, Indonesia on: June 24, 2023, 01:31:43 AM
Thailand is very friendly to crypto and even allows people to do crypto business and do crypto meetings. And it's a great decision because it does not affect the government much but makes people happy and richer.
thailand is a great place too but based on Tripadvisor bali is included in the dream place of many world tourists,

If you've been to both countries, you would know that Thailand is the same as Bali, but better. In Bali infrastructure is shit, impossible to safely drive bikes, you can be robbed, no Bitcoin, and the government hates tourists (for some fkn reason), so yeah, they don't want us around.

And I was talking about crypto adoption. Thailand even has its own crypto exchange and I know a guy who has a crypto business (an official one). So yeah, Thailand is winning simply cos government doesn't care about crypto, which is a great thing.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New question for experts on: June 24, 2023, 01:24:34 AM
Depends on your goals. If you want to meet new people with the same interest and share your experience/knowledge, then yes.

But I don't think that if you are good at blockchain, you will learn something new. I've been to various crypto meetups and I can't say that they were helpful to me, because I already know everything I need.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC fighting for the publics my ass on: June 23, 2023, 04:48:10 AM
Not surprised. We should understand that SEC and government will NEVER be on our side and support Bitcoin.

First, they were attacking stables and then made CBDC, and not they tried to destroy any exchange in the US just to control crypto and get profits from it lol.

It the end, it's all about money and control and not about people.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on The Island of Bali, Indonesia on: June 23, 2023, 04:40:59 AM
Just go to Thailand haha.

Thailand is very friendly to crypto and even allows people to do crypto business and do crypto meetings. And it's a great decision because it does not affect the government much but makes people happy and richer.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin high transaction fees is a disadvantage to small business owners on: June 22, 2023, 03:52:00 AM
Agree.

I don't really belive that businesses will adopt bitcoin. There are people who tried to accept bitcoin is their small business and every time they just abandoned this.

First one all, people don't want to use bitcoin as money. Everyone wants to invest in it and get rich.
And the second, government hates bitcoin, so they making it hard for people and businesses to use bitcoin in everyday life.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Asset Or Currency? on: June 22, 2023, 03:49:37 AM
I already asked people here what they think of bitcoin.

The majority belive that it's just an asset and people don't really want to use it as a currency. They just belive that if it will be accepted by companies, then the price will go up. But I don't see the connection because regular people don't use bitcoin and bitcoins don't want to spend it. So I don't think it's gonna help drive the price higher.

I think bitcoin won't become currency simply because people don't see it as a currency and because it's too volatile almost no one will use it because of it. Why will you use bitcoin if it can't drop 5% a day and you lose money that you wanted to spend in a grocery store?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why has Bitcoin suddenly jumped above $30,000? - 06/21/23 on: June 22, 2023, 03:46:23 AM
It all looks like a big fake-out. I don't see strong reasons for the market to grow right now. Inflation is still pretty high, interest rates are high as well and they will be rased at least 2 more times.

So I would wait for more clear signals to buy cos right now I think bitcoin might drop once again.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Volatility Problem on: June 20, 2023, 06:06:09 AM
That's why I belive that Bitcoin won't actually be used as a currency. I don't see the reason for the majority of people to use it over USD considering how valuable it is.
And for businesses, it's not only risky but also government pressures them to not accept bitcoin by not adopting the usage of bitcoin.

So every year and have more and more doubts about mass adoption. Bitcoin will surely go up when people will start buying, but I don't see companies start accepting it all over the place.
