101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: January 19, 2018, 04:53:50 PM
Hi, can I change XLM straight to another cryptocurrency, NEO, for example?

You need to find a NEO anchor. I do not see one listed at StellarTerm.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN - World's most Secure Mobile Wallet RELEASED for BTC / LTC / ETH on: January 18, 2018, 06:55:43 PM
An old cell phone and wallet Enjin are they as secure as a ledgerwallet?

I'm sure the devs would tell you yes.

But, until it has been security reviewed by a few security and crypto gurus I would say NO.

why was the name changed from stellar Lumen to stellar?

Also what has changed between from the old stellar to the new stellar?

Your question as the same my concern. I still confused about some different names on some exchanges such as STR on poloniex and XLM on bittrex. Why different?

The network has always been called "Stellar" and the native coin was called "Stellar". But they wanted to separate the name of the network from the native coin, so they changed the name of the coin to Lumens and retained the name Stellar for the network. I think the name was changed when they introduced the new consensus algo. But I may just be conflating them.

I think one or two exchanges just didn't update the ticker/name to XLM/Lumens and still call them Stellar/STR. Which is unfortunate.

it seemed to me that stellar should be a little more stable, but it squeezed half (

its just because the value of bitcoin is going down. stellar value is still base on bitcoin value.  we should wait for the bitcoin recovery and see the stellar go to the moon :d
Phew phew, Bitcoin has stopped to go down anymore so I feel please to hold my stellar. Do you know what reasons made BTC price had sold out?

I think it's a combination of the January dip, which has happened every year, if you go look at the long term charts, and the Korea ban, not ban, and the high tx fees and then just some general profit taking, which I admit I missed out on, because I got greedy and was waiting for $25k.

Are you looking at the USD market or the BTC market?

It's currently at about $.53. Back in November it was $.03.

(Yea, when BTG was @ $400 and I planned to convert it all to XLM. Wish I had pulled that trigger.)

106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: January 16, 2018, 04:10:33 PM
To those that are expecting more gains, I just want to say, it will come. Relax. ETH is being ridiculous at the moment, and no one in their right mind would trade ETH when it's rallying. Wait for stable prices and further news in the coming week and we will see movement. We have just come off of 2 days of rallying for over 30%. This consolidation phase is perfect and what is needed before a run. To those that didn't get in yet, well, don't miss the train or rather the rocket in this case Smiley

Agreed, this has been a healthy correction.
If folks would pay attention, we are doing "higher highs" and lower lows"
XLM is on a nice steady run up..

I expect you mean higher lows.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN - World's most Secure Mobile Wallet RELEASED for BTC / LTC / ETH on: January 16, 2018, 03:48:42 PM
Hope they list on some new, and large, exchanges soon. The price is in freefall at the moment! Hope not too many people purchased at over 40 cents a token!

In the long run though, should hopefully keep trending upwards as games actual use the coin.

Free fall is a bit alarmist.

However, most of the market is in a correction right now.  But, this is long term bet for me. If I was day trading I would have sold at .40$.
108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins Next Stop $50,000 on: January 12, 2018, 09:25:04 PM
That is outrageous and preposterous. 50,000 out of nowhere? Now is not the time for such a case to be likely possible because bitcoin is struggling to recover, rather it is just being stable around the price levels of 13,000-15,000$. Altcoins are getting pumped now,the same situation like last year beginning. 50,000$ is possible in a time span of like what 2-3 years at least.

Maybe, maybe not.

I thought it might hit $10k by the end of 2020, and it got there so much earlier than I expected. Bitcoin is at the tipping point of main stream and it could go up much faster than you think... sort of like that week in December when it went from like 11k to 20k.

This good news to the enjin community for additional exchange to the already existing once and more good news coming, enj back to $0.4+ again now, hopefully price stable and climb easy Grin

Nice, KuCoin is showing over $2mm of volume in the last 24 hours.

From my Binance account, I sent my Stellars to the poloniex stellar account. I entered my Poloniex wallet address. But I did not enter memo id. my coins did not reach the poloniex account. Is there a solution to this problem? Please help me.
Try to communicate with Polo support. What was the incentive to send XLM from Binance to Poloniex? Binance has been proved to be decent exchange atm while sometimes Polo has problems with withdrawal .

poloniex support does not respond to requests. 2 days was still no answer. what can I do about it?

I wish I did not send it. I regret.

how can I produce a solution?

There's not much you can do. Crypto is decentralized. There is no "bank" you can contact to get your money back.   You have to send polo the tx number with the memo you should have included and hope they credit your account.

111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: January 08, 2018, 03:54:02 PM

There are still XML airdrops? I bought  XML in Kraken two days ago and it surprises me to read that the airdrops are currently following.
I have repeatedly asked this question - but so far no response, but I still think it would be airdrop soon.

I have repeatedly answered this question.

THERE ARE NO MORE AIRDROPS !!!

...and it's to late to get one based on Ripple or BTC ownership. That boat has sailed.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN - Gaming Cryptocurrency (World's most Secure Mobile Wallet Soon!) ㉫ on: January 04, 2018, 06:26:56 PM
Enj in great shape now everything is looking great, and also see that some good amount of roadmap have been achieved, wallet release will even make price more high hopefully.

Yea, wish I had bought more when it was less than pre-sale price after issue on the exchanges. But, sill very happy with 12x at this point.

Once the coin starts getting used the price should improve. I think most buying right now is speculation.

any way to still claim the xlm for btc owners? had about 50 btc when the blockchain snapshot was taken , dont even want to calculate how many coins i've missed out on

Sorry no. The window has closed. You have to buy them on the market or from SDF if you want institutional level amounts.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: January 03, 2018, 03:50:51 PM

No... go read the latest blog entry at stellar.org. They said NO MORE AIRDROPS... don't be fooled.

If no more airdrops, how do they intend to distribute remaining XLM?

Build Challenges.

Auctions.

Do you use this wallet? How do you receive coins there?

How? It's pretty much the same as any other wallet.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: December 27, 2017, 05:23:43 PM

Might want to use a legacy (static) address for that, especially with fees so high now.
Why? I thought multiple addresses didn't increase the fee because multiple payments are always counted as a new input regardless of the number of different addresses?
Maybe I'm wrong about the fees.  I was thinking that sending from a single address would use a smaller transaction than sending from multiple addresses.

I'm pretty sure the inputs are the same size whether they come from one address or multiple addresses. So, the size of the transaction should be the same either way.

But, don't make the mistake I made by creating a new "Account" (derivation path) for your mining or small receives, because then when you spend from you main wallet account, it can't grab a small output from the other account to fill the tx if needed, and will have to break up a larger output you might have sitting in the main account.

Everything is as usual - the pumps have broken, dumps came Smiley
You did not expect that everything will grow forever?

At this point in time I do. It is a long term bull market. Seeing corrections after a short term run up like this is fully expected. The same is happening to btc, bch, dash, eth, etc.
