901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 11, 2014, 10:33:22 PM
[Dividend Announcement]

NXTventure will offer a 1:10 Privatebet dividend after the close of SuperNET funding. The ex-dividend block will be as of the close of the funding. Assetholders of record that block will receive the dividend.

For every 10 NXTventure assets you own, 1 Privatebet asset will be sent as a dividended. I believe this will set the record for the value of a dividend by a cryptoasset, as it is ~6 million NXT market value as I write this, or ~$240,000 USD

James

Since I'm new to NXT assets, can you please explain if my thinking is correct?
Let's say I have 100 NXTVenture assets, once the funding is over I will also get 10 Privatebet assets the next day? If yes, do I need to do something
or the bonus Privatebet assets will be transferred automatically to my account?
Do I also need to have UNITY assets for this scenario?

Sorry for my newbie question, but I am just one Smiley

James gave the long answer but the simple answer it:

No, you don't need to do anything to get the NXTVenture dividend of Privatebet.

There are tools that can look at the block chain to see who owns what as of a certain timestamp/blockheight. Then the shareholders of record can be determined and dividend assets can be transferred.

Yeah they are quiet because they want to release everything all at once not to cause any p&d... The aim was to stabilizing right Wink

So get ready for NAUT ... Yippa.

Devil's Advocate here...

There waiting to launch a laundry list of stuff for a better PUMP. Also, giving more time for them to acquire more NAUT at the current bargain prices before they release.

Anyway, a rising tide rises all boats.

Why does it feel like only jl777 understands any of this?
I bought a lot (for me) because I trust a random man on the internet who is known for making a lot of money off of people just like me. Am I all right in the head?

904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 11, 2014, 09:34:56 PM
The transfers, they are done:

15720904723604126361
13969817255360149927
616709295133043647

Now the SuperNET account has the core assets as described and it will thus get 24.15% of the dividends that these core assets will generate. I feel a happy balance.

http://nxtreporting.com/?a=NXT-MRBN-8DFH-PFMK-A4DBM&c=USD shows the SuperNET account
It currently has 23.5 million NXT (which I still have not run away with) and 26.3 million NXT worth of the core assets.

Let us calculate the TOKEN NAV and SuperNET NAV, the latter using core assets and assuming full 20% dilution.

2014-09-11-14:00:03-GMT SOLD 211012.56580535 TOKEN

928.44400974 BTC, 8955179.34129586 NXT, 18107.41954836 BTCD, 604418.27454791 CNY
NXT AE 23495504.342392 NXT for 187039 TOKEN

Total TOKEN: 398051.56580535
BTC 928.44400974
NXT 32450683.68368786 * .000085 = 2758.30811311 BTC
BTCD 18107.41954836 * 0.01398860 = 253.29744909 BTC
CNY 604418.27454791 @ 2930 = 206.2861 BTC
BTC equiv = 4146.33567247

TOKEN NAV = 0.01041658 BTC

If the UNITY trading is active, there would now be a 50 BTC buywall at 0.01041658 BTC

Now let us adjust this for the value of the core assets, the following I just cut and paste from the GUI:
InstantDEX   241'485   1'000'000   24.15%   48.98   45   10'866'825
NXTcoinsco   241'485   1'000'000   24.15%   26.98        25   6'037'125
NXTprivacy   241'485   1'000'000   24.15%   43.9989   39   9'418'180
Total 26322130 NXT * .000085 = 2237.38105 BTC

Now we assume the "worst case" dilution where both bonuses are earned, which would mean there are a total of 497564.4573 SuperNET assets. You can check the math, 80% of this number is matching the number of TOKEN.

SuperNET NAV = (4146.33567247 + 2237.38105) / 497564.4573 = (6383.71672247 / 497564.4573) = 0.01282993 BTC

This is a 23% premium over the TOKEN NAV, even when using the 20% dilution.

I hope these calculations make it clearer how all this works

James

Nice, the superNET asset account is currently worth, without the BTC/BTCD/NXT invested (at bter) 7'437million NXT or about $461million USD. This has got to be the largest single crypto account around.

I'm so excited for this asset. I'd love to put more in, but gotta respect my monthly crypto investment budget and diversification rules.
905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 11, 2014, 04:46:17 PM
This might be a stupid question, but once this converts to Unity, will there be a wallet to withdrawal into or would the assets be kept (and kept record of) on the exchange? Sorry if this is a redundant question.

The asset is on the NXT blockchain. So, you will need a NXT account. BTER can send your asset to the NXT account.

You can either download the NXT wallet (NRS) yourself. Or, you can set up an account at trade.secureae.com which is essentially a NXT wallet, but it put the asset exchange front and center.

Also, you will need some next to use the asset exchange. So, you will probably want to buy 100 or so NXT because each bid/ask/transfer/cancel order cost 1 NXT.

Thank you. That answer helps a lot!

One more question... for someone who has never used a NXT wallet, will it appear just as NXT in the wallet, or are there separate sections to the wallet (i.e. NXT, UNITY, etc.)?

It is clear from my questions as a NXT amateur, I need to read up on NXT, so thanks for answering me.

There is a separate "assets" (asset exchange) tab in the wallet that shows you your portfolio and where you can trade assets.

BTER says that SuperNET withdrawals are disabled. I'm assuming we need to wait until UNITY is released.

That's correct.

908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 11, 2014, 04:16:22 PM
Hello. I have one question. Why the price for one TOKEN on NXT AE is right now only 125.5 NXT? When ICO started, the price for TOKEN on NXT AE was 127 NXT,  then 129 NXT (I mean price direct from asset issuer). I thought that when I buy sooner price should be better for me then to buy later ... .

Because the TOKEN price is based on a set BTC amount, and NXT has gone up quite a bit since the IPO started, so less NXT is needed to meet the current BTC price.
909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 10, 2014, 06:02:07 PM
So, I thought the price of entry was supposed to go up each day, but it's only if the asset sells out at the price set? Shouldn't the asset be pulled and set higher than 129 now? Nobody is going to buy the remaining shares at 129 at this pace, there are just too many.

James put a large buy wall up on the AE so that it wouldn't sell out and people could start selling their assets for far more.
At the moment, 129 is possibly slightly high (not 100% sure though), as the NXT price is at a 1-month high and the price is valued in BTC.

Edit: I take it back! BTER price of 0.01044510 BTC / 0.000079 BTC/NXT = 132.2 NXT. So get them while they're cheap.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see any "large buy wall" on the AE. Just a buy wall for 1443 shares (which is not much really considering how much has been invested) just over 127. Where is this buy wall you are talking about?

Yes, he mis-spoke. The Asset Issuer account (jame's or perhaps an account he created for this) has a large Sell wall of just less than 1million tokens at 129 NXT. This is to prevent noob investors from paying too much if he 1000 unit sells sell out quickly. The current 1000 unit sell is at 128.44 NXT.

---

After the IPO is done, James said he will put a large buy at NAV. I assume this means Net Asset Value which means to me the liquidation value of all the underlying assets help divided by the number of superNET shares. (He can correct me if I mis-spoke here.)

I really think any new chat app will have problem gaining traction. There are so many out there. Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Snap Chat, Google Hangouts, etc.

I still don't see how Nxtty is tied to the coin, and they aren't really saying. The only USP I currently see is that messages are encrypted. But, WhatsApps messages are encrypted too. There's also Cryptocat, have you even heard of that?
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 10, 2014, 03:56:58 PM
Coming late to the party, too lazy to read through ~100 pages of thread.
Any good discussion out there about supernet? Tech. summary, pro and cons?
Thanks.

There's quite a bit of discussion about it, close to 100 pages worth of it in this thread.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 09, 2014, 03:19:56 PM
Why not just NXT/USD at Bter?

Maybe someday. But currently this market has very low liquidity.

New QORA Poll: Please Vote!

Deadline September 10, 2014

Name:should qora strive to be part of btcd (bitcoindark) supernet core?

Description: There is a new vision/space emerging in the altcoin world and it's called the SuperNET. An initiative born from the idea that ALL cryptocurrencies would thrive through UNITY and anonymity (or being "dark"). An invitation has been announced by the devs of bitcoindark (BTCD) to participate as an innovative CORE altcoin in its vision to unite. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762346.msg8592943#msg8592943

Results update (arbitrary deadline of Sept 10 cancelled as it's arbitrary  Tongue )

Yes - 61%
No - 39%

all votes:   1,008,953,571 (10% of all Qora)

http://qora.co.in/?q=%EF%BB%BFshould+qora+strive+to+be+part+of+btcd+supernet+core%3F&poll

Four coins thusfar included in supernet core and brief tech offering:

Bitcoindark (BTCD) - primary teleporting tech to send and receive txs to and from all coins' networks (under development)
Boolberry (BBR) - onion routing tech to anonomize coins entering teleporting network
Vericoin (VRC) - coin <--> fiat technology (interesting community conversations over the past few days for and against)
NXT - other jl777 technologies including privacybet, instadex, mgw, etc

Market cap on these coins have increased substantially since announcement. At the end of supernet fundraising, BTC collected will be used to sustain growth and value of coins.

Qora is doing fine without supernet and need not apply IMO but always an option if Qora/community so chooses.

James said he would be working with the VRC people to help them with some issues. He never said they would be part of the superNET. Then again, he never said they wouldn't.

Can we know what coins are being considered right now to integrate the supernetwork?

No, that's part of the the main point of the superNET asset. To invest in the coins BEFORE the announcement of it joining the superNET occurs.

Actually that would just be bad for the market. I hope innovative coins are being considered instead of going with the usual anon and stuff coins.

Wut? I don't understand what your reply has to do with my post that you quoted?

It's as if you describe it being a pumper. that would be bad if that was the point.

Did you read the OP?

Quote
What this means is that the coins that are accepted will most likely get a pretty immediate boost in valuation. Nothing like what happened to BBR in most cases, but still the fact that the coin instantly is worth more when it has direct access to the Supernetwork and also gains revenue sharing, really does increase the value of the coin. This is a permanent and significant change to the outlook of the coin.

In order to bind together the core coins in the Supernetwork I would like to make an investment to purchase a meaningful percentage to HODL. No intentions to flip after the price increase, just long term buy and hodl and collecting the revenue share.

Hence the Supernetwor. It will use the funds raised to privately purchase coins prior to public announcement of their acceptance into the Supernetwork, also for some after market support and maybe even market making to provide liquidity.

These are not my words.

I like asset to asset trading, wish others had it, well done Qora, this is a brave move to do this first.

If I understand it correctly it means people can list their assets and only pay a fee to use the exchange?

So it means I don't have to have enough Qora to trade just enough to pay any TX fees, which is neat, of course as long as someone has listed a trading pair I can use..

So we can create an asset for BTC and trade QORA, BTCD Assets etc.. or any other asset for that example? World's first decentralized exchangeHuh

Sure, but before that can work you need some type of gateway to convert asset tokens to/from the actual coin.

No.
