I'm actually completely done with exchanges. We really need decentralized P2P exchanges. Needed to wait more than a week for Poloniex to free my Monero coins because they were lost in their wallet and now this. It's almost hilarious how bad they are, even worse than mainstream banks  Roll Eyes

You mean like Ripple, Stellar, Counterparty, Clearinghouse and NXT Asset Exchange?

Still some dumper~~~
what sad is I have no money to buy more.

Dont understand why anybody would be selling at this crucial point in time. The upside is far greater than the downside. What is the seller banking on, a disaster release?  Huh

or maybe just need to pay bill now.

I cringe when I hear that. Crypto should be bought with disposable income, not rent/food/clothing money.

Its not allowing me to burn any more VIA... but that might be because I have pending VIA. Its been pending for over a day now, after being locked up in the exchange for hours. Whats going on?

Have you burned 20k? There is a limit of 20k per address iirc.

I will send to Bter new version, after they confirmed it, we can start.

Woot! SUPERMOON... Or was that last night?
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XCH] ★ ClearingHouse ★ Initialization Stage ★ on: August 14, 2014, 11:47:51 PM
That was caused by a server update. Just refresh.

What was updated? The code of the wallet? If so, I suggest you use cache busting Uri's for artifacts, so when they change browsers will d/l them automatically and not require a manual browser refresh.

If not, never mind. Wink

Still getting this error across all browsers. I lost all my XCH and tokens. Any help?

failoverAPI: Call failed (failed over across all servers). Method: get_normalized_balances; Last error: JSON-RPC Error:

Coins are in the blockchain, not in the wallet. So, you only lost them if you lost your seed/password.
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: August 14, 2014, 11:20:02 PM

Can somebody tell me what the current payout is right now per NXT coin per month?

And how is that payout expected to fluctuate in the near term?  Just a conservative ballpark figure is fine.

Thank you!

There is no "payout" for holding NXT. There is forging fees, but that is based on your balance in your wallet and running it. The forging reward is all the tx fees in the block your forge.

The "dividend" discussed a few message back was for one of the Assets on the NXT Asset Exchange.

Ok, I saw it referred to as "payout" here so that's why I'm a bit confused.  I was curious what the return or reward or whatever you want to call it would come out to per 1 NXT coin. I'm simply trying to figure out ROI for NXT if the price of NXT doesn't appreciate at all.  Kind of like a dividend for a stock - it's good to know the % return one would get before buying the stock.

Thanks!

There is a NXT forging calculator. http://www.mynxt.info/forging_calculator.php But, don't figure on that to really get a great return. You can also lease your coin to a forging pool to increase your earnings. There are a few pools going right now.

In addition there are several dividend paying assets in the AE though. The one mentioned above expects to pay about a 60% return per year.

So buying NXT is an investment in the platform and the more it is used the higher the value. Also, the number of coins is fixed so there is no inflation.

whats wrong with this coin why it is so cheap?

Because DGEX can't deposit BTC to buy FIMK

So, buy it at secureae.com. It is the 1000FIM asset. You can buy directly using BTC on that site.

yes please, let me know too how you think it's the dev?

Q: What happens to the viacoins that I do burn in exchange for XCH?
A: They go to fund future development of ClearingHouse.

So 600 BTC from the IPO was not enough, now he needs more funds.
For 3 days the dev already "collected" around 185 BTC (assuming he sold his 0.37m VIA at the average price of 50k)

You have no proof and you are just spreading FUD..
Ask the dev to prove his 0.37m VIA holdings. He clearly stated that the coins will be used to fund development. Doesn't that mean selling VIA for BTC?

No, the Via could be provided directly as bounty/payment as well.

He didn't sell anything. All the "burned" via is right where it started:

It so easy to check this stuff. As my mom always used to say, engage brain before mouth.

I feel that viacoin is going to be THE greatest scam altcoin community have seen so far
Very interesting to see how its going to end, but its not going to end good for those who decided to hold VIA  Grin

Did you research BTCDrak and his reputation at all?

Would 100 via to burn for xch be too much?

What do you mean by burning 100 Via for XCH?

Any word from devs whether Crypti will be released tomorrow or not?

Last post was they found/fixed the problem, testing looks good and still on target for launch tomorrow. But you know **it happens.

Viacoin only has 10mil coins though. Crypti has 100mil.

They have 92M, unless you are referring to the original IPO. Which was for a total of 10M.

Specifications:
Name: Viacoin
Symbol: VIA
Total supply: ~92,000,000 (92MM)

That's the total supply. Not the current supply. It's ~10.5 mil right now. 10mil was in the genesis block sold at ICO.

So, has anyone done the math. Is it cheaper to rent a mining rig and point it to the multipool, or just buy the stuff? Any idea of BTCD per GHs?

Would 100 via to burn for xch be too much?

I did 200. But, I don't have much Via. My ICO investment was less than 1 BTC. So, I'm a minnow.

is there a BTCD gateway to the NXT exchange. I'm trying to limit my exposure to exchanges and this isn't trade on BTER, about the only place I trade these days other then the AE.

I have changed 4 browsers , all the same , this situation has last more than 20 hours.

all cache and localResources for the wallet?? what do you mean , my computer is ok, I changed different computers, still  have the  problem when I use this passphrase

So if you use a new passphrase it works?

What are you doing when you get the error? Just opening the wallet?

Your not running on testnet right?

For those of you who like this project, how many bitcoins you think is worth investing in it?

That's not really a question any one can answer for anyone else. It is a very individual number based on the risk level you want to take on, your current portfolio amount, etc.

If you are "investing" in crypto rather than day trading (you use different percentage/risk calculations), I would not put all your eggs in one basket. Think in percentages not numbers. I personally currently keep about 50% in BTC (but have considered lowering that to maybe as low as 30%), and spread the rest out into several alts. Maybe you want to do between 5-15% in each alt. Say you decide on 10%. Take your total portfolio value and put 10% into Via.
